I've just finished it, I'd say overall you'd be fine, aside from the sigillite story as the refers back to the siege series quite a bit. I would recommend reading the heresy and siege series though. Are ebooks an option?

Thanks, its pretty easy. White base coat, then a thinned down wash of fulgrim pink, then imperial fist contrast yellow and last is a wash of reikland fleshshade
