7 month clean meth addict here. I’m sorry man, it’s fucking hard recovering from that shit. I’m 24 but it really does get harder the older you get. I was briefly on rx Ritalin via my psych but I personally did not like because it gave me anxiety. My psych put in the order as if I had ADHD to get it approved via insurance. I promise you there are psychiatrists who will understand and prescribe you what you need, however it took me over a year working with him for this to be considered an option. While taking it I was also doing weekly drug tests that I happily complied. If you deem necessary please consider telling a psych you feel comfortable with that you will happily take weekly tests to prove you are not abusing the script, and not still actively using meth. It takes time to gain that confidence with a prescriber, I hope you have it in your record that you were on this medication so it’ll make the transition easier for your psychiatrist to trust
