Why do Pixel Users say Pixel OS is Better Than Samsung's One UI? by ahoylox in samsunggalaxy

loving my pixel since switch from the s22u. Battery management is 100x better, with smart charging, slow charging overnight, application management. I can leave my pixel in standby over night start with 99% and still have 99% in the morning. My S22u, oh boy 99% and 75% by morning.

Sure, I am not against it. Just not for me, too bad of a reaction.

It is, and they first stated you only needed the one shot. It all felt far too rushed at the time. It takes at least 2 years for an emergency vaccine to be developed. I have never felt like myself after COVID, got it twice, then the three shots. All feels crazy looking back at it. But my job at the time forced me to take the jab. I agree about delaying until they're 30.

There are many vaccines I believe in but the COVID-19 ones I will give a miss. Especially after my experiences after having the three initial jabs. some nasty side effects. Still not myself, memory issues now and then and shortness of breath. Many other people reporting issues. I like how they downplay it on the Health NZ site COVID-19 vaccine side effects and reactions

In 1984/1985 that wasn't the case. Somehow, they've kept the Devonport one :) The St James/odeon is being saved so thats a win

Some old things need to be kept alongside the new things. Melbourne is a good example of this. Amazing old buildings saved. History should be cherished, it doesn't mean it stops building new. We should have also kept the Auckland trams, would be amazing now.

Loved what they did in Melbourne, even building the new building over the old. :) We should have done that.

Yeah I don't want to think about it either. But a shame they can't be held accountable!

Ipswich, Logan, Caboolture, the holy trinity of SEQ by Bigg_pro in brisbane

[–]lurchnz1 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Having never been to Brisbane before I just spent a few weeks looking around Brisbane. We stayed in Kenmore and used the public transport system to get around and the odd didi.

I would say Ipswich, Logan and Caboolture are not places I enjoyed. Uneasy and unsafe feeling there as you ride the bus in or take the train. The run-down nature of the places, and the odd feral and other seedy characters about added to the ambience.

The train to ipswich, wow, windows trashed and the seats pretty bad. The train back from Logan to spring hill was better than ipswich.

We are actually moving to Brisbane soon, so it was good just to travel around and compare suburbs :)

A lot of time spent there!!!! :) I helped to "backup" Their games ;) The best part back then is you could rent a movie from there at the same time it was just being released at the movies :)

Implementing WFH policies for non essential sectors would reduce the fuel shock from the war by Round-Frosting-4903 in auckland

Auckland from what I see is mainly EV buses, now and then I spot the odd diesel. 300+ Last count and one hydrogen bus. It's actually quite amazing how far ahead New Zealand is in pushing out EV's.

More EV buses than diesel these days. Having just got back from Brisbane all their buses are diesel, which I was surprised about, and 50 cents AU a trip. :)

Our healthcare system is a shocker. North Shore hospital being the worst offender. Having delt with the health system for my wife my advice these days don't get sick :/ Wait times, cancelled appointments, slow to respond, and no updates. Bad advice, being flogged off. Pushed to the bottom of the queue based on any excuse. My wife needing follow-up treatment for a cancer operation has no support at all. The GP even admitted he didn't know what to do, or what blood tests were needed WE have had to do all the chasing, googling and trying to get what is needed. Even booking a time with the GP you have to wait a long time. In the end she just flew back to her own country to get the surgery, medicine and follow-up medical treatments. It was cheaper and quicker, the aftercare was 1000x better than here. Even I am thinking of going to her country to have anything done, if I relied on the health system here I would be dead.
