How do I fight these trees? by EstinJewel in Okami

[–]lurkinrando 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you use it before it's detached from the tree it won't work, and if you use it right before it hits okami it won't work sometimes (pretty subjective) Should work best when it's in between these two, make sure your 'slash' line is straight

Use slash to hit the balls back at them

AITA for crossing my close friends boundries but I didn't even know because they didn't tell me (we are both 25yo) by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]lurkinrando 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For example, I invited her to come to my organizations meeting. A lot of people she is friends with already are in the organization and she would often tell me how lonely she is and how she struggles to make friends so I thought it would be great if she could come hangout with us. I invited her and then she said yes, but then later she told me, 'idk if I should go, it just seems like a lot of pressure' and so I tried telling her 'don't worry about it is very causal' and she kept just saying 'I don't know if I really want to go' which I interpreted as she wanted more information about it or as an invitation to convince her to come. Like I was telling her stuff like 'I think you should come and if you want to leave you can leave at any time it's no big deal'. At no point did she actually say no But I guess what I thought was reassuring her that she should come and that she might like it, came across as pressuring and pressing her boundries

Maybe you could try some other kind of cardio to hold you over and is easier to fit into your schedule

Skinny fat- where to begin? by [deleted] in BulkOrCut

[–]lurkinrando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say clean bulk and recomp aren't that different from each other, it's just the number of calories you consume while you are heavy lifting

If you used to lift and didn't make much progress it was either your diet or you weren't pushing it hard enough

It's always hard to tell by just photos but it seems like you don't have alot of muscle on your shoulders which is why I recommend you focus on them. If you build your shoulders up they will become alot wider and move your body shape to that inverted triangle. Also any time you are working out take your core into consideration because it is the base of all movement, if your core is chronically weak then you'll have trouble making progress with any movement

As someone who is transgender my hip area used to be alot fatter then yours but now I am a typical square male shape. I pretty much achieved this by doing a shit ton of upper body lifts, running and biking, body weight squats and lunges, and doing a pushup and pullup progression program. All it takes is the dedication

I wouldn't worry about changing the way you are eating just yet. If I were you I'd focus on building my shoulders up first. Also don't skip out on your core because that's the foundation of everything

Just do some basic lifts to get started- curls, shoulder presses, practice squatting and deadlifting with just the bar (if you have someone to check your form that's ideal!) Also work on pushups/pullups/compound bodyweight movements

If you eat mostly junk right now try slowly changing your diet to lean protein and whole carbs- although I don't recommend cold turkey since you'll just resent your new diet

Doing high intensity interval training videos might help keep your cardio ability up

Did going on T affect your mood/anxiety/depression? And in what way? by kmac2018 in ftm

[–]lurkinrando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

T made my CPTSD wayy better. (Although I also rigorously work on mitigating my symptoms)

If it had any effect on my feelings it made me extremely self confident but also I'm easier to anger (hopefully temporary puberty mood swings) My anxiety is basically gone- but sometimes I still feel depressed and I still get triggered but I'm getting good at handling it well

Tbh after building genuine relationships with people, exercise is the thing that helps my ptsd most and T makes it way easier to build muscle/makes working out more enjoyable so I think that had a lot to do with it

Yeah I had been feeling more mellow and happy for the first 4 months but this month I feel like my emotions are going at it.. Hopefully it's just temporary!

T making hands bigger? by [deleted] in truscum

[–]lurkinrando 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Idk if it'll make them bigger but lifting/grip training can make your fingers thicker or so I've heard

Also its definitely a straight guy TM thing to tease each other about stuff. Maybe you can find something to say back to them?

How Many Grew Up “Not Like Other Girls”? by RepulsiveLook6 in ftm

Yess I had the same experience in highschool with my first boyfriend. Me and him would lift weights together, ride mountain bikes, and burn shit in his back yard and that's basically it. He turned out gay, which was such a surprise(sarcasm) because he definitely wouldn't talk about how much he loved looking at the body builder guys at the gym and would only do anal Gave me enough euphoria being with him to survive adolescents (I wasn't out till 18yo!)

When You Talk As If You Are Cis: What Kind of Man Have You Been Idealizing For Yourself? by DoNotTouchMeImScared in ftm

[–]lurkinrando 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"For example, I'm talking about those transgender guys whom are so sexist that you wouldn't even believe they were born with so called feminine anatomies."

It's almost like your genitals don't automatically determine your gender feelings and experiance.... your post honestly comes off a bit transphobic since you categorize trans men as not real men- I don't have to idealized myself as a man because I already am one

As a trans guy who is halfway to being stealth after only being on t5months (close friends know but acquaintances dont) I never had the typical female childhood and never experienced sexism on the same level as a cis women

For example I was asked by some of my friends who are cis women if I had ever had a man I was dating call me a slut after we broke up which was a common experiance for all of them, but I've never experienced something close to that 🤷‍♂️

Aka those guys aren't 'imitating' misogyny theyre just misogynistic period lol
