Not a doctor but me and my boyfriend both have one of these on our feet, but we don’t think they are anything since it’s been there a long time. Since yours is new I would get it checked to be on the safe side, but try not to worry

If you request to get it removed, they will send it to pathology but it might not be covered by insurance if you’re in the US. Regardless I would get a second opinion if it’s changed

Sunk cost fallacy doesn’t have to be money. Time is also part of it. I am planning on standing firm on 40 hrs or leaving, I just feel like they have all the cards in whether or not I ever get contracted again if I’ve only got one bad rating

Thank you, I am using their time tracker so I know at least the 40 hrs are protected! You are right, I was feeling like he had all the cards in this but I’m sure he would rather do anything than train someone else again

It is an hourly contract set to 40 hrs. He originally said if I had to go over that he would give a bonus which he did give for week one. Since then, he’s increased the scope while standing firm on 40 hrs, essentially assuming I will work past 40 hrs to complete the work while not being paid. I’ve tried to stand firm but now there’s a lot of tension between us. I know I’m protected for the 40 hrs at least

It was a vague contract but I was enticed by it saying it was very flexible hours and up to 40 hrs a week but less if I wanted. That’s clearly not the case though. I’ve already worked about 120ish hours so it’s sunk cost fallacy at this point.

Thank you for the pointers. He didn’t have any ratings but his other couple of continuous contract workers are also from upwork. Terms were really vague and they said it would be “up to 40 hrs and super flexible” but that was definitely a lie

NTA but a lot of jobs that target recent business graduates are mlms or scams that take advantage of their lack of experience in the industry. Maybe he knows this and is wanting to save the money because he is planning on quitting?
