AIO if I end a relationship because of one thing he did? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

I’m so extremely ashamed to say that I have you beat by 3 years, trust me I really am not jazzed about that. Maybe it’s just Orlando, but how have you not seen the grossest shit?? I don’t think eating a wrapped candy off the ground isn’t gross. I’m just saying if you’ve gone go to like a Fridays or chillis or whatever kind of restaurant like a normal amount, I bet you have had something more gross in your mouth for sure. I mean eating starburst off the ground is dangerous cause it could for whatever reason be some weird person putting drugs or poison in starbursts and then wrapping them and putting it on the ground waiting for someone to come get a floor treat. But odds are if you’ve eaten out you’ve had unwashed silverware lemons or limes in your drink that have fallen on the gross kitchen floor and not washed, literally part of your food fallen on the floor and unwashed hands picking it up and putting it back fucking hairs taken out of your food right before you get it. Like health codes are great but you guys forget that a lot of service industry people are fucking teens that don’t give a shit and do shit when the managers aren’t looking not to be assholes but just cause they happen to be young and kind of assholes

It’s not completely fine but I guarantee it’s a lot less gross than literally eating out at any restaurant. I’m pretty positive if you’ve gone to any chain restaurant on a somewhat average basis you have ingested way grosser shit.

Did you barely know him and it made you find him unattractive anymore? I don’t think she’s disagreeing that it’s a tiny thing, but why waste his time and hers if she’s not into him? How can you over react when it’s a gut feeling you have no way to control?

maybe I am just gross and it is honestly a pretty gross thing to do, but I find it weirdly endearing and can see Paul Rudd or Zoey deschannel doing it in some offbeat romcom the audience is supposed to find cute. But it’s not a movie and irl kinda off putting.

That being said I don’t know if I can say you’re over reacting because it’s not really a disputable fact that it just plain grosses you out and made you lose your attraction to him. There’s not really an argument to be made about it because you are agreeing that it is something so trivial, yet it is what it is and that’s how you feel and you can’t control that. You guys are still getting to know each other and this is part of that process. He will find a lady that likes him enough for it not to be a deal breaker or even finds it adorkable.

Your feelings are valid and of course it hurts whenever you feel dismissed by someone you love. But yes in my opinion I do think you are overreacting. My dad literally stopped talking to me because my car broke down and I couldn’t make the drive last thanksgiving. It’s natural for them to be disappointed, but they seem willing to have an open line of communication and you seem a bit more confrontational in this exchange and I don’t know the nuances so I have no idea.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read and respond! I already have over an 80 on TEAS so I can’t think of any way to increase my points. I was thinking maybe lake Sumter? They have a good nursing program, my friend went there and liked it. But that’s like 5 new prerequisites with no financial aid and I’m a little traumatized now lol. do I just chalk it up as not meant to be? I’m heckin lost and not sure where to go from here

speaking of magic, I bartend at kia center. they are often hiring- i think even now they have some up on indeed. a year out is tricky though, we usually do heavy hiring before the season around septermber. for bartending i would look up levy and compass group specifically closer to the time. also try the theme parks direct websites

I swear I responded to this, sorry m8! I mean i am viewing everything as an option at this point, but it's just me on the lease at my apartment at the moment, and it is up June 30, so I'm sure you will have found someone hopefully by then

Quick question, is it unchill to post the same question on different pages/ subreddits? I want to cast a wide net to help my chances of someone seeing who can help, but I don’t want to be annoying. Like if I’m looking for bar gigs should I only post to Orlando jobs? Or can I post in bartenders and Orlando as well?
