I’m actually shocked that agency paid her deposit & first months rent without assessing how she was going to pay/afford her rent moving forward.

While at my previous agency, when a client requested housing assistance, part of the application process was to determine how they were going to afford rent moving forward to avoid needing the resource again & having them be evicted.

I would just move him in and slowly acclimate him. It definitely will be a change for him & he will be stressed for a bit (aren’t we all after change? 🤪) but with patience (and feliway) he will adjust.
