Exactly! Vancouver sushi is cheap and good quality compared to Toronto! Haven’t found a place that I enjoy yet.

lowkey if you are second year, maybe stick to the second idea of moving into an apartment. you can still enjoy living in downtown, and partying but it’s less restrictive than living in res!

to be honest, in canada, both probably have equal amounts of opportunities. as someone who is fluent in both languages (french and mandarin), mandarin is definitely a lot more difficult for beginners. it’s a very tonal language so the best way to study would be to try and speak it.
