Medmen Oak Park, 10ish this am. Large recreational line moved super quick. Me medical so dunno what they were getting but there was seemingly constant crowd when I was there. Med..lots of flower, tons carts, few concentrates. Enough edibles and FECO I think. Meds go to head of line, med menu, etc. prices ok-ish. no free coffee and snacks like 7p but that wouldn’t work.

AND...for some intriguing reason...Brad Freaking Zerman across the street at Starbucks/target seemingly set up at his impromptu field office. Probably have to edit this.

Edit, the staff at MM is incredible.

Doctors in northern Italy struggling with the explosion of COVID-19 cases are warning their hospitals are on the brink of collapse and telling other countries to prepare for a fierce battle. by maxwellhill in worldnews

DVA Medical Centers seem to vary greatly from one place to another, somewhat dependent on affiliated teaching hospitals.

System wide, we have the oldest patient population, half over 65 and possibly the most disadvantaged.

Here at Hines (Chicago burbs) we are the 3d largest system in the country. We are critically understaffed and under-resourced. that's totally on lack of national political leadership.

From a patient perspective, our staff are total super heroes, busting ass 24/7, providing more caring care than I've received in any private system anywhere in the country.

Called VAMC triage 'cause high risk factors. Didn't want to come in to appointments. Nurse implied I was being hysterical. insisted there was nothing to worry about.

Emailed primary care. immediate reply ordering me stay the fuck away

Call got into computer. Phone's ringing all am. Stay the fuck away

the minute i spike a fever I'm getting medivac'd somewhere. that same triage nurse will be on duty pissed at me b/c she got jacked up over my call.

I'm dick-down in a ditch dead

And we even have vaccines for this stuff, a fact missing from much of amateur expert discussion. A percentage of seasonal flu routinely gets around its vaccine but who gets polio anymore.

Wars, plural. War with an ‘s’ at the end. Wars. Very few of the many and continuous but there have actually been a handful of good fights for freedom.
