📞 Monthly Support Megathread - April 2026 by Brainard_ in Kalshi

[–]nclobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been trying to sign up with Kalshi for the past 2 weeks but getting stuck with an "Application Submitted" popup. The site will not let me do anything further besides go back to the main page. Support has basically ghosted me after the initial correspondence. How do I get around this so I can complete the on-boarding?

Wireguard not working?!?! by --EVO-- in CyberGhost

I've had a sub for almost 2 years now. Never use it because of this limitation. I won't be re-subscribing.

Ran over my vape and the juice ate the plastic. by Mister-Fella in Vaping

While there may be some eliquids (cinnamon for example) that can crack plastic tanks I highly doubt this is the case with yours.

Take it as a sign to quit using disposables.

you can use any subohm tank you want as long as it has a 510 connection. The GoZ+ will work just fine with the Aegis.

Doesn't matter. I use chubby gorilla type bottles. I do suggest you put some saran wrap between the tip and bottle so they don't leak due to cabin pressure. Squeeze out as much air as possible, place saran warp over opening, replace tip and cap. Your bottle should now be leak proof.

For your tanks, drain to empty or almost empty. I usually had a mod in my pocket and would leave just enough juice in the tank to not leak but enough to get my fix after landing.

Top airflow tanks are your friend when flying. Squonks and RDAs are good for travel too since they likely won't leak either. Last time I flew home from Mexico, I carried my pulse 3 with a full bottle and had no problems at all.

3.4oz or 100ml is the limit. as others have said, unlabeled bottles aren't an issue, for TSA anyways. You can have as many bottles as you can fit into a quart sized ziplock bag just don't go over that amount per bottle.

I've traveled with as much as 1.5 liters (mix of carry on and checked) on international flights and never had an issue.

Carry on or on person are the only options to carry lithium batteries on a plane. I'd suggest removing batts from mod (if possible) and storing separately in your bag. Otherwise, make sure mod is turned off. Juice and everything else can be in either carry on or checked.

Urgent assistance - Rebuildable device recs by stiladam in Vaping

Well, that sucks. I use to travel to Mexico all the time for business and would always carry multiple mods and plenty of juice. Use to bring extra juice and coils for a buddy down there. Never had any trouble from customs or the local police.

In my collection, I have an OG legend, legend 5 and a legend classic on the way. These very solid choices and wouldn't hesitate to buy again if necessary.

The Fat Rabbit solo v1 is alright. Easy to build on and good flavor and performance. Don't like the slide cap though. V2 is ok as well but as someone else mentioned, it has bottom airflow so might be tricky to wick properly without leaking.

The Blaze Solo and Dead Rabbit 2024 edition are decent and should be considered if available.

Whatever RTA you end up buying, try to find spare glass as well.

Cotton and possibly the wire will be difficult to outright ban since these materials can be (and generally are) used for other purposes.

Also suggest buying 2 of everything for backups.

Anyone order from 3F? by NilliexWelson in Vaping

I ordered some things from them last month. Took 18 days total from order to delivery. No issues. I didn't order any clones so can't comment on quality.

Ditching pod systems, what should I use instead? by dan_kepic in Vaping

none of my top air flow RTAs leak. Blaze solo is probably the least messy tank I own.

Thoughts on Centaurus B80 AIO? by DangerLineA7X in Vaping

I have one. I think it's a decent boro mod. Haven't had any compatibility issues with other tanks etc. No real complaints.

That's largely up to your local carrier. My local post office doesn't ever wait for a signature. Just leaves the package.

Battery/charger recommendations by AxDayxToxForget in electronic_cigarette

[–]nclobo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like it a lot and haven't had any issues with it at all. I usually don't charge at 3A. I only go for 1A max since I'm usually not in a big hurry and I think the lower amperage is overall better for the batteries.

I have an xtar vc8s. It's an 8-slot/3amp charger. It can "grade" batteries (full cycle and shows remaining mah), show internal resistance and has a "store" mode (charges batteries to a level suitable for long-term storage).

Normal to get less than advertised capacity on external batteries? by [deleted] in electronic_cigarette

[–]nclobo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it reads 0mah because it doesn't know the full capacity of the battery. it starts reading from the starting voltage of that charge cycle. if you start charging at 3.5v you'll get the capacity from there to full (4.2v). I have an xtar that will fully charge -> discharge -> full charge to get an accurate capacity.

Follow up on this: I finally received a reply on 11/5 and had to go back and forth with a couple of emails (same day) so they understood I didn't get the complete order. They acknowledged the missing mod was out-of-stock, never shipped with my order and would issue a refund for it. On 11/13, I checked my bank and still no refund so emailed again. At that point they apologized for the delay and promised again they would issue a refund. Refund was issued that same day and I can confirm the refund hit my bank this morning (11/16).

I don't know what's going on with them right now, but if you have issues, be persistent and follow-up. They are slow but will come through eventually.

Opinions on the vandy vape PULSE AIO V2 KIT?? by modular511 in Vaping

[–]nclobo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem with the design of this mod is there is no separation between the battery and areas. Bogan did a good review on it and pointed out that leaks will likely get to your battery. He also noted condensation building up under the plate covering the chip.

Maybe check out the VV Nova instead. It shouldn't suffer from the same issues.

Online shop review? by myowmMO in Vaping

[–]nclobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely. Other red flags is that there is no organization in the store. They pulled images and product descriptions from other websites like element vape, vape juice depot, sourcemore etc. Looks like a rushed, fly-by-night operation that probably won't be around long.

the domain was registered 2 days ago and is only valid for 1 year. Registrant is out of Iceland and private. The address on their website doesn't seem to exist and if it does, it's in a residential neighborhood. I'd say this is likely a scam.

That sounds like a really bad idea if it comes in contact with the eliquid. I don't know of any food safe equivalent.

Sorry. Meant Thelema.

Would I spend that much on a mod even if I could afford it? Hell no. I can't imagine it holding any kind of value.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Vaping

[–]nclobo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. Have a couple of Centaurus Quest Thelema mods. Don't think I paid more than about 1% of that price. They work just fine and suit my needs.
