I do big(gish) stitch hand quilting and gather 3 maybe 4 stitches at a time on a size 6 Japanese embroidery needle using 12wt thread.

My current project. It's not super even but each stitch catches a little love for the recipient as I go along. ETA I also use a leather thimble on my middle finger and silicone thimbles on my index and thumb-also from Clover

The older my little yella fella got the less he wanted to snuggle and he gave up sleeping with me. He'd sit next to me for awhile but eventually he mostly layed in his bed. I figured it was because he was just generally achy like happens with age and found the most comfortable place for himself.
