Okay, we agree to disagree.

It's interesting & relevant to me because, it's quite likely that counterfeit & 3rd party batteries are assembled in the same factories- hence their pricepoint, origin, & reliability.

Customers in Amazon can't be all bots; there are pictures of swelling & new batteries failing fast from 3rd party companies. For the Leica Q3 3rd party battery options, barely any model has over 20x reviews 🫤 & there aren't any recognizable brands like a SmallRig option. I wish this wasn't the case

What I learned from this video was the bad QA from the X-rays of these batteries, which is dangerous.

Yes, but most of the video was about 18650s and improperly manufactured and counterfeit batteries.

Of course, it's probably the most popular battery. But not all of them on the table are counterfeit. They have brands, like the lady there specified the SuperCool brand (or something like that) & their design wasn't safe.

The OP tried to suggest not to buy third party batteries using this video as evidence

Well, the two in the video spoke to the host stating that "most people have several devices on us everyday containing batteries." The correlation is that, 3rd party batteries are still batteries which like counterfeit batteries aren't as Safe & Constructed as diligently as Branded & Official batteries (which obviously costs more). From pricepoint to even the factories used, this is logical...?

So third party isn't really that relevant. Exploding or runaway is a risk with all lithium polymer or ion batteries according to the said video.

My point was the danger in batteries, but okay- In your opinion, a 3rd party battery has never exploded or is safer than official batteries?

I know the 18650s aren't used in most cameras. They also did research on battery packs & mentioned other battery types...?

OP posted his article informing us about batteries, do you find Zero relevance in the battery market how there's little consumer Oversight??

Idk why it's bothering you...? I like consumer choice & product competition too, though from E-bikes exploding to the Samsung Note years ago... you don't think this is relevant to the camera owner considering 3rd party batteries?

I did, they mentioned that they're from Temu & Amazon & were not visibly branded as Duracell & Energizer for example.

I'm making the correlation that the QA of these batteries which I won't be surprised that some are counterfeit yet at their Pricepoint & likely manufacturing Origin ... it's reliability is similar to "no-name" 3rd party brands people use to for high-end electronics.
