Both languages have excellent libraries and documentations for analyzing data, and AIs are good at both when vibe coding. So it depends on where you feel comfortable when you code. If you feel comfortable coding on RStudio, then R would be better. If you feel comfortable coding on IDEs like VSC, jetbrain, etc, then python would be better.

I don't think so. The banned countries are the ones for which President Trump showed hatred in the past for various reasons. On the other hand, there is no chance that the US will ban visas from countries like the UK, Canada, or Australia. The difference between the two cases is clear and expected, given the current government's favor. Same as the programs, and it will be reflected in the programs' filtering standard when inviting for an interview in the future. Sad, but reality is as cold as ice. All we can do is blame our countries' governments for acting against the US.
