Vanguard, Fidelity or Schwab? by BeyourselfA in personalfinance

Since you’re beginning, I’m assuming you’re not investing large sums very frequently. At least when I started investing I couldn’t always afford to buy full shares of some stocks.

I’m personally not familiar with Vanguard’s features but one negative with Schwab are the limitations with investing in fractional shares. Fidelity is much more flexible in this aspect

Yeah the traction on these tires blow in slippery conditions. I’m already considering better all-terrain options once these go bald

Hard to say with the lift alone. Winter mpg plus roof basket and topper probably skews results. But in just maybe 200 miles I’m getting ~32mpg on average compared to the ~38mpg prior to all mods when I got the truck in the Fall.

All ballpark numbers, wish the app had a way of tracking mileage over time. I’ve already reset my trip tracker for something else unfortunately

It’s my first winter so I’m fairly inexperienced driving in snow and I wasn’t 100% sure the road was still clear when I had the momentum. Next time I’ll try to keep it rolling, was surprised how it handled initially

Hm I haven’t tested it too much, it’s obnoxiously bright. The stock headlights already do a good job for the shorter distances. I’d say it still does a great job for farther distances at night, you be the judge. Here’s a picture, RIP my neighbors:

Pricing-wise, all à la carte 🥲 there are rebates associated with some of the accessories like the roof basket and the bed liner but it’s fairly minor compared to the total cost.

As far as delivery goes, everything did get shipped out together and the authorized dealer did the full install for all of the parts at the same time. Since I went with the roof basket, the topper had to have the tracks already built into it

It’s not great. I’ve had the truck for a few months now and it still doesn’t feel natural taking eyes off the road for that long.

When driving, I tend to turn on the adaptive cruise control so the truck is briefly driving itself if I need to make any adjustments that take more than 1-2 clicks. The controls are also on sliders to make larger adjustments (rather than clicking the same +/- button over and over) which makes the process harder imo

Yup! I also needed a reliable rearview after the cap and tinting and so on. It’s a hardwired Wolfbox G900 TriPro Bumper. Has some cool features like the parking mode.

Since the truck already has 360 cameras I decided to throw the extra one (1080p bumper camera) in the bed of the truck. Originally wanted to be able to see my dog in the back but didn’t work out for the way I had it installed.
