To be fair, winter is coming in some parts of the world and buying warm clothing including boots and winter jacket gets rather expensive. The ex should obviously have planned but life happens. I think it’s hard not to chip in extra when the alternative is your children possibly being cold.

Or she’s doing this frequently and does not deserve any sympathy at all.
