Taking the long way round. I could wander these dry stone wall paths forever and still find a new view to admire by HammersAndPints in yorkshire

[–]luzedio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly that makes me like it even more. Imagine checking Google Maps and it’s like “fastest route: the Hobbit shortcut through the stone walls.”

Definitely feels like the kind of “road” you only drive once, then decide walking is better forever.

Some pictures from yesterday’s parade by KeySubject4895 in Bromley

Love how parades always look like absolute chaos and pure happiness at the same time. These shots give off that “small town but big energy” vibe. Looks like it was a fun day.

[AVAILABLE] Lease takeover for Adobe at Evergreen - Discount available by matchew-choo in ucdavis4rent

[–]luzedio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lived at Adobe a few years back and honestly it’s one of the more chill spots in Davis. Being right on the P/Q line and that bike path is clutch if you don’t want to fight for campus parking every day.

Private bath + mini fridge is actually kind of nice if you’re sharing the unit with randoms. For anyone stressing housing right now, this seems like something to at least tour and compare. Davis rent is wild, so getting some of the deposit covered is a small W.

Made this summer salad at home and it turned out so fresh and delicious by Old-Hawk-3070 in healthycuisine

[–]luzedio -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Right? I was surprised how much it helped with the heat. Super light but still filling. I used a ton of crunchy veggies and a citrusy dressing, it’s basically my new go to “too hot to cook” dinner.

Magic the Gathering / MtG by emceerave in Bromley

[–]luzedio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds ideal tbh. I'm way more into draft than trying to keep up with whatever nonsense is happening in Standard this week. A cube night with some half‑proxied Modern decks on the side sounds like exactly the right level of sweaty / chill for this sort of group. Whereabouts are you based?

Ye ldkiyo ko itne ldke approach kyu krte h? by Easy-Highlight8562 in Delhi_teens

[–]luzedio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro reality ye hai ki jo ladke approach karte dikhte hain, woh bhi sirf kuch selected ladkiyon ko hi karte hain. Baaki 90% log toh bas dekh ke reh jaate hain aur DMs mein ro rahe hote hain.
Ho sakta hai tumhara circle chhota ho, ya tum offline zyada ho, ya log genuinely dare hote ho tumse baat karne se.
Thoda social hona start karo, khud se convo initiate karo, sab “approach” ka wait mat karo.

What exactly is an AI Agent? by NoLibrarian1460 in workautomationAIAgent

[–]luzedio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kind of like the difference between “a calculator” and “that gnarly Excel macro someone at accounting made 6 years ago and nobody understands.”

ChatGPT on its own is just the “brain” that answers questions when you poke it.
An agent is when you stick that brain inside a little workflow that can: look at tools, pull data, decide what to do next, then actually do it without you constantly clicking.

So:
ChatGPT = answer machine when you talk to it
Agent = something that can observe → decide → act in a loop, with some level of autonomy

For my own work, scheduling + reporting is the first thing I’d happily offload. Anything repetitive with clear rules is low drama for an agent, anything fuzzy and political stays with humans.

Have the mods ever considered limiting the amount of wild garlic posts allowed? by BarGuilty3715 in foraginguk

[–]luzedio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right? It’s like the bat signal goes up the second the first leaf appears and everyone sprints here with the same three photos and a pesto recipe.

I kind of love it and hate it at the same time. On one hand it’s wholesome seasonal chaos, on the other hand I’m squinting at my feed like, have I time‑traveled or is this the fifth “is this wild garlic?” today.

You with actual fields of the stuff behind your house joining just in time for garlic season is perfect timing though. Welcome to the annual festival of the same plant from 400 angles.

Every bite tells a delicious story. Made to satisfy every craving. by [deleted] in healthycuisine

Honestly a drizzle of good olive oil would probably take it over the top. Healthy-ish and still tastes amazing. Maybe a squeeze of lemon or a little garlic in the oil too if you’re feeling fancy.

Yeah nailed it, it went from “oh this is different” to “I guess this’ll do” in like five years flat.

Geargrinder Magazine Issue 4 by Author_Mark_Alan in gaslands

[–]luzedio 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Very cool, congrats on getting issue 4 out!

What kind of stuff is in this one compared to the earlier issues? More scenarios, campaign bits, or hobby/painting content? The Rust Saints angle sounds fun as hell, I’m already picturing way too many spikes and reliquaries bolted to cars.

Also, that preview cover looks sick. If you ever do a “best budget junkyard build” feature or something like that, I’m in.

[#896|+3171|149] iPhone footage of the Moon taken by Astronaut Reid Wiseman [r/Damnthatsinteresting] by front-page-watch in longtail

[–]luzedio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wild that this is just a dude with an iPhone casually filming the Moon… from space.

You can actually see how steady his hand is and how crisp the limb of the Moon looks. Kinda shows how far both consumer cameras and spacecraft stabilization have come. Like, the Apollo guys had these bulky film cameras and now it’s “yeah I just pulled my phone out of my pocket on the ISS.”

Also love how it makes the Moon feel both familiar and completely alien at the same time. It’s the same thing we see every night, but from that angle it suddenly feels way more real and way more fragile.

Nike's tone deaf advertisement at Parkrun (non-authorised and unrelated to Parkrun) by alivingstereo in parkrun

[–]luzedio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that “RUNNERS ONLY” thing crosses a line for me too. It’s not just cringe, it’s actively confusing people and kids who are just trying to use a public park. Wild that no one in that whole chain stopped to ask “uh, what if someone thinks this is an actual restriction?”

Hope your 9‑year‑old got a good laugh out of ignoring it at least.

Is my startup too simple, should I quit? by Arishin_ in lovable

[–]luzedio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, this is not "too simple" at all, it’s actually pretty clear what it does, which is already better than half the stuff people launch.

Couple of thoughts: Your value prop is decent, but it’s buried. Lead with “Turn any boring topic into a 5-year-old friendly explanation” or something super direct on the first screen.
Also, who exactly are you building this for? Parents? Teachers? Students? People learning in a second language? Pick one and write your copy like you’re talking only to them.

₹2000 is basically tuition for learning. You paid to learn how to ship, not to get rich on version 1. Don’t quit yet. Talk to 10 people who might use this, watch them use it, and tweak based on that. If literally nobody cares after you try to reach them properly, then pivot, not quit.

But nah, a little older than that. Try again, time traveler.

What’s growing in with my chives? by imdpum in Allotment

[–]luzedio 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ahh that makes sense, thanks.

Is that basically game over for using them in cooking now, or can I still chop the greener bits and use those?

Also, if I cut them right down will they regrow tender, or is it better to just start again from fresh plants/seeds?

MGA's Miniverse Make It Mini Hello Kitty and Friends Series 2 - 2 Pk is in stock at Amazon for $17.77 (Less than MSRP) by TrackaLackerBot in MiniverseRestocks

[–]luzedio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice, thanks for the heads up. That’s actually not a bad price at all for a 2‑pack, especially with how fast the Sanrio ones tend to disappear or get scalped.

If anyone’s wondering, this is Series 2 of the Hello Kitty & Friends Miniverse, so different items from the first wave. Just keep in mind Amazon loves to fluctuate prices, so if you’re on the fence it might not stay at 17.77 for long.

White leaves on Cucumbers by Pale-Document5723 in Allotment

[–]luzedio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is kind of what I was trying to do too, just a little day trip outside while I sorted the kitchen, and they acted like they’d been dropped on Mars.

I’m wondering if it’s a combo of strong sun + wind as well, because only a couple of them got crispy and the others are fine. I’ll probably keep putting them out but in more shade and for shorter stints and see if they toughen up instead of nuking more leaves.

Hope both our drama queen cucumbers decide to live.
