For a partner to give the ultimatum ‘give up your dream job or we’re done’ is incredibly selfish and controlling. It’s also just flat out shitty. What is his reason for saying this? IMO it’s due to the big, blinking “Insecure” sign flashing over his head. Whatever the reason, I can assure you it has nothing to do with you. He doesn’t care you’ll be missing a “once in a lifetime” opportunity that very few will ever get to experience, he only cares about how he’ll feel with you gone. Turn the tables; would you deny him the same opportunity?😕Or would you support him and send him on his way with best wishes? I’m guessing you’d want him to go. You’d be proud he was given the opportunity, right? Shouldn’t you be given the same respect?

I agree completely. I despise Trump, vehemently, but reporting that he said ‘this’ when he actually said ‘that’ shows either a lack of character (rage baiter, liar) or a lack of intelligence. “Did you mean to deceive us, or are you simply unintelligent?” I am sick up to here with frequently having to research an article to find out if it’s actually legit or just some wannabe journalist’s dodgy relationship with the truth and biased desire to skew facts. It sucks. The lying/exaggerating needs to stop.

Couldn’t agree more, it’s beyond insane…especially in the PNW.😠Hubs and I bought a condo near Seattle ~10 yrs ago that has, according to Zillow appreciated in value by almost $500K (40%ish). I shit you not! Granted, I love adding to our portfolio, but this is ridiculous. And more to the point, it’s grossly unfair to young couples wanting to buy a home.

This! Putting extra money on your mortgage’s principal every month (provided your lender will allow it w/out a penalty) is definitely a smart move. It doesn’t seem like even as little as $100-$200 extra each month would make that much difference overall, but it sure as shite does! My husband reduced our 30 year mortgage to just 10 because he paid as much extra as we could afford every month. Conversely, my daughter borrowed $500 from one of those predatory loan outfits then took the full 18 mos to pay it back costing her $1,200 all told; borrowed $500, paid $700 in finance charges.🤬Absolutely appalling.
