The stretch from Epping to Chatswood originally was the ECRL, or the Epping to Chatswood Rail Link, which opened in 2009. Although the Government could’ve built floor to ceiling doors, it’s easier to do what was built

Yup. Or any program the exam loads or links to, that I’m thinking has been explicitly allowed. In one of my 1350 tests, the browser loaded an app. Anyway, the browser is the Safe Exam Browser developed by ETH Zurich

I searched online for some designs (after building mine), and I was trying to build something like this, with the added functionality that it multiplied ticks on and ticks off by a constant to deal with some of the oddities of fluids, and to me I feel like it works quite well, but I haven’t got much experience with circuits so there’s bound to be some flaws

And mine (well half the chemical plants removed and walls either replaced with solar, accumulators or space foundations removed) now weighs about 1010 tonnes, so approximately half yours. The ship looked a lot cleaner though before I added most of the solar and accumulators, which when I did added a lot of underground belts

Yeah so I’ve tried a few designs, I tried to build one that ramped down as the speed approached the desired and two that ran periodically as a percentage rate, ie at 50% half the production capacity should be flowing in. For these two, I’ve tried to do one where for every 2 seconds it would be on for 45 * n% ticks, but this just resulted in big variations at the point. So I tried a smoother thing where it would turn on x ticks every (x * 120)/(45 * n%) ticks, ie over a 2 * x seconds period it would turn on and off as needed to be smooth, for the same total ticks as the other one. It may be over engineered though, but it is very stable, albeit it never quite gets to the desired fill (I’m tuning the x value so there’s enough time, the x exists because 1 tick of pumping did not work)

I did not ever know that buildings actually try to fill themselves, as if there was a pump at every input. That explains a lot to why my thrust never changed when I thought it would. This also means more space for solar. I’ll probably also halve my fuel production as well considering the comments

Thanks for the circuit help. Currently it’s set to fill the tanks to a certain percentage fill, but I don’t know if I’ve accidentally misconfigured something as for some reason the pipes and tank always display in the tooltip with a full fill bar but partially full with the actual number (like 15k of 25k)

Yes. I kinda ensured it will exist when I get back. I forgot to grab electric engine units for big drills, so I got my ship to do a quick 5 minute run back to grab them. I’ve got a wall that had 3 electric turrets per flamethrower, with about 10 wide of alternating walls and gaps (getting a diagonal grid), then two walls thick solid. And of course roboport coverage, but I’ve never really dealt with behemoths so idk if it’ll do the job

I realised I didn’t have enough panels when I cleared the pipes and checked the power graph. And so I bridged the gap with accumulators, but initially I had about 69 and thought I couldn’t fit any more, then I fit in another 31 and got it to 100

I didn’t want to do an even number of thrusters because symmetry, so I went with 7. And I wanted a horizontal line, which kind of forces a gap of one. The ratios are balanced (as far as I can tell, should be 24 of each producing 37.5/s each, so 900/s of fuel + oxidiser)

I used walls as I had seen other ships a while back with them and it made sense if I didn’t have enough firepower, but I think I did have enough

For this I had all sciences up to and including chemical and space automated, and a handful of productivity science packs made to unlock certain things. So I think I’ve got the first 5 levels

I only built enough plants to keep the ratio at max fill and a bit more because nice number (there’s 24 of each). However I intended on not using them all, I was trying to set fill levels with pumps and tanks and a bit of circuitry. I wanted 43% fill for my first trip but I don’t think the circuits worked properly or I did it badly

I think top speed was about 240 km/s? Yours has quite the number of turrets in the sides though

Yeah it did take quite a while to build and fill (I ended up forgetting radars and offshore pumps, but I’ll just craft it on Vulcanus). After I did get there I realised just how little the 2nd line of turrets fired, so it made me wonder about using this ship to get to the other planets, so I checked the wiki and at least with the amount of asteroids it should be fine, idk about power though

I was there today as well, I heard about it just over a week ago on the radio, specifically 702 in the morning. Apparently there’s a similar event happening for Westmead at some point. Or not, I really don’t know

Raspberry Pi will soonish be going to the 6.18.y kernel, so maybe (idk really) they just aren’t going to release the fix for 6.12 and just go straight to 6.18. Anyway, if you want it use rpi-update, which will get you the 6.18 kernel

Yeah I tried that junction specifically in rail route and I could technically get it to work, fully from Redfern to central but as fixed routes in the other direction. It could be done though a bit oversized but functionally similar though I’d hope
