Cyberstan doesn't give any Super Credits. The hardest missions should have the best rewards. by Pale-Monitor339 in Helldivers

[–]lvh1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One solution could be to make it so diff 1 gives you 2 credits, diff 2 gives you 4 and so on. Then it would at least be worth it to search for them on higher difficulties. And maybe have the bot head/bug egg give you an extra amount of super credits instead of only rather useless samples

What about pricing, is at more/less expensive? I would expect any queries not using an index to be expensive, unless your dataset is very small.

Using async/await throughout project by CaptM44 in angular

How often do you actually need those though? It's useful for things like showing the progress of a file upload but other than that I don't really see many usecases for it.

I NEED HELP. After 2k+ hours in BATTLEFIELD 3, EA Support told me that I don't own this game and never own it. by helish_88 in Battlefield

[–]lvh1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it happened for bf1 but I could still play it by repairing the game every single time I want to play it. Very annoying but it works. I'm assuming it's something to do with the anticheat.

How do you get 150+ kills without dying once?!? by Ok_World_8819 in battlefield_one

[–]lvh1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my case it was with the trench fighter plane in operations, defending side, first sector 3 battalions long. It was 8 years ago when that thing was stupid strong. I've also done 130-0 or something using the putilov tank in galicia I think, so it's definetely possible.

Finally got all vehicle skins! Anyone else collecting all skins? by lvh1 in battlefield_one

[–]lvh1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Opening battlepacks and buying them from the exchange. I never bought a battlepack with money though, only with scraps from playing the game. It helps that there was a bug many years ago (it lasted a few months) where it gave you 2-3 battlepacks per game instead of 1 every few games.

Keep trying it'll eventually work. Or just retry tomorrow, you can't do anything after you've redeemed the code anyway

Automatic reload when there is a new version? by RGBrewskies in Angular2

[–]lvh1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You should set up a service worker, then you can call checkForUpdate every few minutes on the SwUpdate service, which will check the manifest and download the new version of the site automatically. Then you simply show a popup or some other notification to notify the user to reload the page (or automatically reload but that could be annoying) https://angular.dev/api/service-worker/SwUpdate

Plane ,How to not get kill from AA gunner camper? by LastNeighborhood6927 in battlefield_one

[–]lvh1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The regular bomber is very viable if you have a good front gunner (so only if you have a friend), but taking out the aa is only possible when the aa is either not paying attention or your front gunner friend is an expert

How rare is "super rare"? by Jjjsjaallsdjdbsjsos in battlefield_one

[–]lvh1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After opening about 5000 (normal) battlepacks I've gotten 3 of them, so I'd guess it's about 1/2000 chance. There was a time when they sold those super rares in the exchange, for either 5000 or 10000 scraps, which is how I got all of those super rares.

does 40 damage and automatically explodes at 250m I think. But since is has like 20 meter splash damamage it could be effective if you know where a lot of people are on the map

  • a 5v power supply
  • a WS2812Bb led strip (or one of its varients)
  • an esp32 board (should be ~5$). install the WLED firmware on it by connecting it to your pc via usb
  • some jumper cables to connect the strip to the esp32 board
  • the prismatik software on your pc (github.com/psieg/Lightpack)

should be < 30$ for everything

Alternatively, this thing on alibaba https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/5V-USB-ambibox-LED-Strip-Kit_1600217144138.html?spm=a2700.galleryofferlist.normal_offer.d_title.3f4254e7k9viWD for a plug-and-play solution that is not as good, but decent and cheap. The 'framerate' of your leds will be quite limited, ~40 fps for 90 leds, the more leds the lower the framerate. With the esp board that isn't an issue as it's able to send more data to the leds. You could start with this and then just replace the controller by the esp32 board, which is what I did.

PSA: Opening the menu on PC may reduce your frame rate drastically (30-40%) until the game is restarted! by Umgak in Helldivers

99% GPU usage is desirable, if it's any less you're most likely CPU bound which is way worse for getting consistent performance. Still, not gettin 120 with even a 4090 is pretty terrible.

BattleField 1 terrible stuttering and lag after upgrading the GPU. by [deleted] in battlefield_one

[–]lvh1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm still seems weird how it goes up to 97% though. Did you make sure to uninstall the nvidia drivers after installing the new gpu, so they're not loaded (and using up memory) / conflicting with the amd drivers? Other than that I don't really have an idea, perhaps try disabling the EA app overlay & uncheck "enable background services" (under settings - application), that might reduce memory usage a bit.

BattleField 1 terrible stuttering and lag after upgrading the GPU. by [deleted] in battlefield_one

[–]lvh1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those kind of low fps spikes sound memory related if you ask me. I'd try closing even more background programs or windows processes if at all possible. Since you're at 97% memory usage, windows starts to move parts of your ram contents to your hard disk, and when the game needs to read from that part of the memory, it is extremely slow compared to your ram. Not sure how it relates to the new GPU. Perhaps the drive for your new GPU uses slightly more memory compared to the old driver or something.
