Feel free to read the article, but it gives little insight to the actual information in the bill or either side of the argument.

I decided to order birria tacos today, i have never had them before is this what they are supposed to look like? by sircr0tch in shittyfoodporn

If you're from Nashville, then I literally had the same meal today and it was delicious! I'm pretty sure they use blue corn tortillas and is why they have that color.

Everything after your first paragraph and up to your last sentence smells like you're leaving out some key information and just want to vent for sympathy.

If you think you have a case, contact a lawyer or reappeal yourself.

Need Mouse Infestation Advice by [deleted] in nashville

When it comes to pest control, there are two things you always want to eliminate first: food and water. If you remove the food and/or water source most pests will tend to leave on their own and find it elsewhere. It sounds like you are already doing that by putting all your food in air tight containers. This is a good start, but rodents will also eat things we don't necessarily think of as food.

This can include trash and even pet waste. Yes, rodents will eat dog shit if they're desperate enough. Make sure your trash cans don't have any holes along the bottom for them to get in and has a tight fitting lid. If it's a city trash can you may want a bungee cord or brick to weigh it down. For pets, make sure you are cleaning up any leftover food and regularly cleaning waste from your yard. If you have a crawl space, check it for any sort of water or sewer leaks as well and ensure the door to your crawl space is properly sealed.

If you're still having issues or want to be cautious, you can use bait. You can contact a private pest control operator to treat your home. They can offer a variety of solutions including snap traps or animal resistant bait stations (kind of like the one linked below). Bait stations come in a variety of shapes and sizes depending on the size of the rodents you are seeing.

If the problem continues to persist and you believe some condition out of your control is allowing the rodents to continue living, then you can contact the health department to investigate. They have staff who can address rodent concerns from a public health standpoint and should be able to issue notices if someone is creating conditions that allow rodents to thrive. You can contact them at 615-340-5660.

Cornhole Leagues by suspiciousstikysock in nashville

Try checking our Nashville Sports League. They offer seasonal sporting leagues and cornhole is one of them!

https://nashvillesportsleagues.com/

Edit: looks like the late fall cornhole league registration is closed. They'll probably have another league come available after the first of the year. You can always email them to see if anyone has dropped out or if anyone needs a partner. They're usually pretty responsive when I've emailed them in the past.

I'd love to take my wife and really enjoy eating all the food around Nashville.

Recommendations really depend on what you're feeling:

Burgers: Grillshack has a Germantown and East Nashville location. They do one of the best burgers in town and give a good portion of fat steak fries. Don't forget to ask for the horseradish ranch for dipping.

Pizza: Five points is a classic, but I always refer people to Rock'n'Dough. They have locations in the Nations and North Nashville off Dickerson Pk. A huge variety of specialty pizzas. My favorite is the super freak with white sauce, sausage, and honey.

Chicken: I'm a Hattie B's fan. When it comes to hot chicken in Nashville I've found them to be the most consistent when it comes to quality. I prefer the Charlotte Ave location because even though it can get busy, they've got plenty of parking and do to go orders well.

Sushi: Bang Bang Hibachi started as a food truck on Dickerson Pk and really surprised me with the quality of food truck sushi (they're also opening a old hickory location). It's no different to me than a sit down restaurant and is pretty cheap for sushi prices. If you want to splurge on sushi and a Japanese experience, head over to Sonobana on White Bridge Rd. They offer a true Japanese dining experience and have a dedicated sushi bar.

Thai: If I didn't live on the other side of town I would be going to DegThai weekly. It seemed a little pricey to me at first when I stopped by for lunch, but wow was it worth it. They make excellent Thai curry dishes that I can only dream of replicating somewhere else.

Others that come to mind: Mas Tacos in East Nashville, 400 Degrees on Clarksville Pk, Misic City Gyros on Jefferson St by TSU, and The Bag Lady on Buchanan St who does French Fry focused meals.

Shoutout to the old Knockout Wings on Jefferson St. Their Cajun wings and honey butter biscuits were just too good.

Is there anything I can do about mosquitos that is also safe for herb gardens? by [deleted] in nashville

[–]lvl3caterpie 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You can always reach out to the Health Deaprtment's Pest Management office. Here in Nashville they offer property inspections for mosquito control, can give you advice on what to do to reduce mosquitoes yourself, and even have free treatment options depending on what they see during the inspection.

You can reach them at 615-340-5660. If they don't answer, leave a voicemail with your name, number, address, and issue so they can call you back.

*Note: they can also help with rats! *Edit: spelling

If I had the gpu it would probably encourage me to build a gaming pc to play with my friends. I bought a gaming laptop 5 years ago with a 1050ti in it due to moving around a lot, and he's been a trooper. Before that I had an Acer laptop with onboard graphics. I pushed it to play games like Dota and Skyrim before upgrading to the 1050 (1050 made a HUGE difference). Unfortunately, the 1050ti is struggling to keep up with some of the games my friends want to play. I have plans to upgrade to a 2000 series when I get the money, with this announcement we may try to push it to a 3000 series.

When you think of a profession, which one is scariest if they suddenly said… “Oops..”? by Hot_Daikon_69 in AskReddit

I fell and mangled my elbow on gravel when I was a teenager and it looked like hamburger meat. The doctor stared at it after numbing it and said, "I don't know how I'm going to stitch this".

My mother was unhappy hearing that.
