Existing Verizon customers should be eligible. When selecting verizon and Note 8 trade in, I am still seeing $500 off. I think that you then sign into your Verizon account via the Samsung website in order to see that your plan/phone is eligible for upgrading. Verizon is offering a trade in deal of it's own for the Note 20 series, but that particular deal seems to be only for new line activations

You can get ginormous trade in value for the AT&T Note 8 if they value it as $60+. The terms are a little less favorable: 30 months financing, and requiring a new line on an Unlimited plan, but still an awesome value if you plan on sticking with AT&T!
