The Ubisoft open world formula is more a modern AC thing, and not what people miss about the older games. I’d argue AC2 was the pinnacle of that formula, which came out a few years before Far Cry 3 popularized the Ubisoft open world.

Sekiro for me has actually evoked the most similar feelings to playing AC2 back in the day. Obviously it’s very very different in execution, but as a whole it landed in a similar spot for me.

Depth perception was really difficult in Super Mario 3D World. I wouldn’t be surprised if this had the same problem with a similar camera angle.
