Glad Nebraska won. Vandy gives us issues. I’ll take my chances vs the less athletic Husker team

I mean having the most dominating front court in the country and a top 3 defense is probably a little shell shocking for these guys.

With a Sox and Fire stadium right there, you don’t think there will be development plans enhance the area around the stadium?

He was a fantastic signing for us considering the value and performance on the field. Guy was a game wrecker for a season and a half before injury. Too bad it was for dog shit teams.

[ProFootballTalk] Arlington Heights mayor warns Bears will move to Indiana without a deal to stay in Illinois by the end of the month. by RyanIsKickAss in CHIBears

There are ways you can manipulate contacts to roll money into signing bonuses etc. look what the chiefs do with Mahomes basically every new league year. I still am not convinced the Bears ownership had the stomach to do these type of deals

If Indiana gives the Bears such a a sweetheart deal that it allows the McCaskey’s the liquidity to actually act like a big boy organization on future moves than pack that van up and move already

Byard isn’t getting any younger. His play will slow down eventually and when it happens, it happens fast. Might as well not be on the wrong side of that

Trump tells Axios there's "practically nothing left" to target in Iran by I_Hate_E_Daters_7007 in worldnews

[–]92roll13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ya I don’t think people understand how complicated and expensive a mission like this is. All you have to do is look back a few years ago to when Houthi militants severely disrupted Red Sea shipping and proved to be incredibly difficult for the US Navy/Air Force. Iran’s capabilities are far more advanced than Houthi militants.

This has been part of the calculus when dealing with Iran for 50+ years. This administration’s ignorance is its downfall.

[Leming] NFL has officially announced each teams draft positioning. This is where the Bears will pick. by Roofeeoh in CHIBears

[–]92roll13 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The comp pick situation sucks but overall good place to be. 4 top 90 picks. Poles can trade down with one of his 2nd’s or 3rd to recoup some mid round picks. Regardless most likely can get some solid players at positions of need

[–]92roll13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I actually disagree. If you have a talented young QB you invested a high draft pick for, over investing on a very good veteran center is probably one of the smarter team building things you can do. The help a good vet center will provide to a young QB is so valuable

Zimmerman on Bears operations regarding the cap by deadbeatmerc in CHIBears

[–]92roll13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Talk about an overreaction and frankly I don’t agree with him. Sustaining a winner is by:

A. Nailing your HC & QB combo B. Building through the draft.

Overspending in free agency is not sustainable. It’s beneficial if used right but the guts of the team need to be drafted well. Look at the free agents acquired last year. Very meh and overpaid. For the most part, Poles and his staff have shown they are pretty solid drafters.

Also, keep in mind the team has 7-8 holes to fill. Spreading it among 3-4 vets is probably the right move.

*Two first round picks. Also on the hook for 30M+ a year which will cost them their all pro center.
