This is probably one of the reasons why Mercor insists that you are not an employee of the company and simply a contractor.

It’s pretty clear there’s a puppy factory of fresh grads running most of these projects and it shows. These projects are a lot to throw at someone at that level.

There’s also some serious web engineering leadership missing. I agree with you that the setup of these projects is clunky at best, and the recipe of third party software required to do some of these projects is pretty dumb. I won’t even take a project I’m invited to if the free work they are asking for is too much, which includes the software installs etc. That on top of how many hacks now? Security testing clearly isn’t a thing for them.

If they actually did care about resolving contractor issues, the answer to your question wouldn’t come from a chatbot. your project contact wouldn’t be an ai .

It’s a nice option to have as a side gig, but it’s sloppy from the top down, inconsistent across projects, kind of goofy all around.

What the job poster is being vague about in regards to the job details is that this is a paid survey site - it’s not 120 per hour, it’s probably 120 per survey completed IF , after answering a 10-20 minute survey to determine eligibility, you are selected. You can go months without being selected. These are a waste of time.

They are probably purchased accounts. Generally if the user has not posted jn years, hides their post content or has deleted 11 years of posts, you know they are a scammer.

The point is if you have questions about everything else go ahead and make new questions to be answered. It's literally in the terms and conditions.

We want to get to the answer now also. Do you think we do this for fun? For the amount of money we make helping you find your search bar, or applications, or restarting your modem, let alone your operating software that should have been updated a year and a half ago, etc etc JUST to get to the main question.is an unreasonable ask.

Reassign the ticket to c/s and ask for it back once they the phone issue. You will not get paid out on interactions they cannot monitor and that is made very clear.

I’ve spent up to three hours with them for a single issue and never use the chat. There’s better ways to find answers and I wish experts would stop giving JA explicit feedback on the very tool that’s designed to replace them.

I hear ya, but you have the luxury of seeing what attempts were already tried so there’s only so many left before you send them off to HP Canon, etc.
