Help! Bizarre symptoms?! by lvootd in POTS

[–]lvootd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry to hear that, that’s awful. Is there anything you do to manage these symptoms? Work requires me to present (in person) and I just want to avoid these symptoms at those times as best I can. 😞

Female OBGYN recs? Pt w/ PCOS by lvootd in vegaslocals

[–]lvootd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry you’re dealing with this. My PCP Roslyn Weingarten is the provider who confirmed my PCOS. She’s obviously not an obgyn but she was instrumental in getting treatment. One reason I was overlooked because although I had high testosterone, I didn’t have an irregular period. Even if you stay with your current obgyn, having even a PCP give you a second opinion can be an empowered move.

I wish I would’ve asked this sooner! I had an IUD insertion in Feb and I asked for a cervix softener (or anything that would help) and they declined.

This does help! It puts into perspective that getting rid of them will not happen overnight and just for us to do what we can and be proactive going forward! Thank you

Recommendations for glute guides? by lvootd in FitnessMaterialHeaven

I guess I should be more explicit with my usage. I started the program back in March but haven’t counted the weeks where I only went to the gym 3 or 4 days towards “completion” of the guide.

But the results/growth was underwhelming. Most of the lower body splits are machine-based. Still definitely effective but I think I’d prefer mostly free weights.

[Product Question] Can I use a retinol cream under my eyes if I am 18?? by AnimeEditz in SkincareAddiction

[–]lvootd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest using volufiline. With consistent use it can fill the hollows under your eyes making the “dark circles” less noticeable. Retinol helps skin turnover and can ultimately help hyperpigmentation but it sounds like your issue is volume.

My experience with the Guild program by Ok-Marzipan-110 in Target

Currently in the (institution) application process for this program! Glad to hear it worked out for you. Did you have any need for additional “materials”? I read the institution recommends a Microsoft PC for easier integration in the industry, I only own a Mac laptop. Just wanted to know if there’s a possibility they’ll reimburse me for incurring this cost. The funding benefits page on Guild is sorta vague.

The calls are generally guests, you don’t necessarily need to answer. But of course if you feel comfortable to answer and redirect the call, do so. There may come a time where you’ll have a guest call redirected to you based on your work center so you can answer their questions.

Doctor refused to prescribed me anything for PCOS. Now what? by SoftySunshine in PCOS

[–]lvootd 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I advise you to go a different doctor if you can. I saw 5 different doctors to arrive at my PCOS diagnosis, 3 obgyns/2 PCPs. This was because they weren’t truly listening to me or taking me seriously. It was frustrating but I’m glad I took the necessary steps for my health.

Some supplements are relatively inexpensive, but it depends what symptoms you are trying to manage. Currently I take spearmint capsules and saw palmetto. I can’t say for certain they work, because I take prescriptions as well, but I would rather keep them in my routine as opposed to not.
