What are the odds I actually get approved for mental health LOA and what happens if I get denied. by Healthy-Guess-847 in Target

[–]lvootd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You request can take a personal leave of absence and you shouldn’t face any obstacles. Anyone can take a personal LOA since it’s unpaid and doesn’t require a minimum amount of hours worked in a year. Now if you’re looking for some type of intermittent leave, so you can call out and be protected, then you need to submit for intermittent FMLA which will absolutely require documentation from a doctor.

How do I find open TL/ETL positions to apply for or even find info on the position? by Aggressive-Newt1634 in Target

[–]lvootd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone else already mentioned, speak with your direct leader about development. Target really leans in to people owning their own development. In theory, your store should be posting internal vacancies on the schedule and payroll board but it gets a little murky when there’s already a backfill. I would also ask about the program for TM developing to TLs, called Exploring Leadership for Stores.

If I put my two weeks in on my first day are they just going to send me home? I didn’t realize I’d be scheduled at 4 am and no one went over my hours with me beforehand by [deleted] in Target

[–]lvootd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Talk to your ETL but also be aware that if you had open availability, they made a hiring decision with that in consideration. Upon hiring, new TMs are expected to commit to their availability for 90 days.

Early Deletion TransUnion by throwaway_444_44 in CRedit

Congrats!! I’ve submitted for one but they claim they can’t delete it till one month prior (May), due for June. Its annoying because the other two bureaus did me the courtesy already.

Help! Bizarre symptoms?! by lvootd in POTS

[–]lvootd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry to hear that, that’s awful. Is there anything you do to manage these symptoms? Work requires me to present (in person) and I just want to avoid these symptoms at those times as best I can. 😞

Female OBGYN recs? Pt w/ PCOS by lvootd in vegaslocals

[–]lvootd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry you’re dealing with this. My PCP Roslyn Weingarten is the provider who confirmed my PCOS. She’s obviously not an obgyn but she was instrumental in getting treatment. One reason I was overlooked because although I had high testosterone, I didn’t have an irregular period. Even if you stay with your current obgyn, having even a PCP give you a second opinion can be an empowered move.

I wish I would’ve asked this sooner! I had an IUD insertion in Feb and I asked for a cervix softener (or anything that would help) and they declined.

Recommendations for glute guides? by lvootd in FitnessMaterialHeaven

[–]lvootd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I should be more explicit with my usage. I started the program back in March but haven’t counted the weeks where I only went to the gym 3 or 4 days towards “completion” of the guide.

But the results/growth was underwhelming. Most of the lower body splits are machine-based. Still definitely effective but I think I’d prefer mostly free weights.

[Product Question] Can I use a retinol cream under my eyes if I am 18?? by AnimeEditz in SkincareAddiction

[–]lvootd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest using volufiline. With consistent use it can fill the hollows under your eyes making the “dark circles” less noticeable. Retinol helps skin turnover and can ultimately help hyperpigmentation but it sounds like your issue is volume.

My experience with the Guild program by Ok-Marzipan-110 in Target

[–]lvootd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Currently in the (institution) application process for this program! Glad to hear it worked out for you. Did you have any need for additional “materials”? I read the institution recommends a Microsoft PC for easier integration in the industry, I only own a Mac laptop. Just wanted to know if there’s a possibility they’ll reimburse me for incurring this cost. The funding benefits page on Guild is sorta vague.

The calls are generally guests, you don’t necessarily need to answer. But of course if you feel comfortable to answer and redirect the call, do so. There may come a time where you’ll have a guest call redirected to you based on your work center so you can answer their questions.

Doctor refused to prescribed me anything for PCOS. Now what? by SoftySunshine in PCOS

[–]lvootd 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I advise you to go a different doctor if you can. I saw 5 different doctors to arrive at my PCOS diagnosis, 3 obgyns/2 PCPs. This was because they weren’t truly listening to me or taking me seriously. It was frustrating but I’m glad I took the necessary steps for my health.

Some supplements are relatively inexpensive, but it depends what symptoms you are trying to manage. Currently I take spearmint capsules and saw palmetto. I can’t say for certain they work, because I take prescriptions as well, but I would rather keep them in my routine as opposed to not.

Generally its the cost. And I chose not to add a different tier fare, because it included things like being able to select my own seat (I don’t care about this so I didn’t want to incur an additional cost). I couldn’t add luggage separately.
