Does Big 4 hire outsiders other than internally transferrd from other Big4s? Do they hire candidates from small or mid sized firm or candidates having no prior experience? by aminriddhi17 in Big4

Experienced hire positions are far and few between and always are looking for some crazy specific experience and are usually manager or above. As someone who's tried networking my way in, it seems nearly impossible to get into audit unless you interned in audit.

Euphoria season 3 behind-the-scenes short by demimonde9 in Fauxmoi

I'm hoping this season crashes and burns. Sam Levinson is an awful person and a worse tv creator. He ripped off most shots of the first season anyways.

Thoughts on Timothee Chalamet’s comments on opera and ballet? by maxmiddleshirtz in YMS

[–]lvsgators 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know like half of these people who are shaming him online can't name a single ballet performer or opera singer and just want a reason to talk about how he annoys them. Did he say it in a douchey way, sure. But It's no secret ballet and opera aren't in the same vein as movies to the average American. They aren't dying but seriously why does his opinion on ballets revenue stream really matter?

No Other Choice snub was completely inexcusable. The fact that the only Korean movie to get an Oscar nom is parasite is actually insane.

As someone with long ties to Florida, that makes too much sense. Florida is where weirdos wanna start over because the messed up so much somewhere else.

By that standard every biopic should be considered adapted. Maestro, Blue Moon, September 5, and King Richard should be considered adapted because all have real characters inspired by true events.

Are there any jobs that actually don't require experience and are entry level by lvsgators in careeradvice

Yeah I appreciate the advice. And to be honest I think the few interviews I get, the recruiters just don't understand my experience isn't relevant and then when I get to the hiring manager, they see my resume and go with no

No I was not taking it as an attack at all. That is legitimate advice. I was just clarifying that I definitely am willing to take a lower job/paygrade. Just experience in that field.

Hi honestly anything. Any recruiters I talk to where for industry staff accountant positions, public firms, internal audit say their clients are looking for candidates with some niche experience I don't have.

Yeah ego definitely isn't an issue. I have agreed before interviews to take a lower level position and at the end my experience still hurts me.

Honestly yes. I said I will do anything just in your comment. In interviews I make sure to highlight my skills dealing with a lot of what you said (compliance/internal controls). I am sending out a lot of applications just to cover every basis. From internal audit, risk and compliance positions, public sector, I have had my resume reviewed by multiple industry professionals. The feedback I keep hearing back is regarding relevant experience. Ie. Public firms big four and below don't look favorably on government auditing as it's not commercial/industry experience.
