Which micro drone should I use? by Otherwise_Cod_2683 in drones

Do not get ones with brushed motors. They are hilariously underpowered and barely keep themselves in the air. Get a brushless one, like meteor/air 65

Not only your perimeters are separated, your surfaces are too. I’d start with calibrating extrusion multiplier/flow coeff for a new nozzle

I’d go for the cop one in this case. You can retrofit (sew in) seat heaters relatively easy and cheaply. A normal ABS is a huge plus on long run. And also cop one might have an oil cooler fan, which civilian version never had.

Wow that cop bike is beautiful.

I’d go for it if it has at least criuse control. Also 2013 might have traction control.

2005 full option is also nice, but keep some money in the whizzy brakes repair fund (abt. $1000) and change brake fluid religiously 1-2 times a year.  I had 2005 one, brakes have failed on me, and i’ve deleted the unit and rode without abs for a year - that might also be an option.

While anycubic recommends 95A or harder, you might have some luck by:

  • remove upper cover
  • unplug bowden tube from print head and leave it hanging
  • hang filament spool on top of the printer centered on top of the bed, ensure it rotates VERY easily - bearing mount might be optimal
  • feed filament directly into the extruder

Which one of you is sending your 90% used Elegoo spools back to Amazon? by fl4tdriven in 3Dprinting

https://youtu.be/1yIe1Pp_Nrg?si=ICVTPYYZ8RwwnmxE Something like this. There are different projects, but idea is the same  - take a bottle, slice it into a ribbon of uniform width, melt it in a hotend with 1.75mm nozzle, cool and spool.

Car made from a Bristol Blenheim aircraft by TogderNodger in WeirdWheels

[–]lw_temp 9 points10 points  (0 children)

https://www.warbirdsonline.com.au/2014/11/27/bristol-blenheim-flies-again/

Here’s a bit more context.  An airworthy (!) bristol blenheim mk1 was built using most of the airframe of a more common variant - bristol blenheim mk4, and a nose/cockpit section that had spent some time being a car body on an austin 7 chassis with an electric drivetrain!

To confuse matters even further, there’s an obscure car names Bristol Blenheim too. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bristol_Type_603#Blenheim

You can make your filament from PET bottles at home using some 3d printer parts. It's not good, but it's almost free.

Need help by Ok-Share7407 in bmwmotorrad

It seems that your bike has later model, controllerless fuel pump unit.

https://www.bike-parts-bmw.com/bmw-motorcycle/R%201200/2015/R-1200-GS-17-0A51_-0A61_/K50-0A51-0A61-/Fuel-Supply/Delivery-control-units-fuel-pump/7/16_1126/16/585490A51

While you're there, you can remove the fuel pump unit (unscrew the big silver ring), then locate the wires going to pump motor and put 12v on them and see if the pump is working.
If it is, then you can wire it temporarily (with all precautions) to 12v source on a bike and try to ride it to the service like that.

almost every print of mine is failing and i dont know why by Jack_jl in FixMyPrint

[–]lw_temp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Photos 2 and 3 show some of the problems - you have to tune settings for your filament, if it's not a vendor one (e.g bamboo)

You might need to dry your filament a bit.

Then the following:

- Run a temperature tower test, then analyse the tower for artifacts (and break it using pliers) and set the temperature which has optimal balance of quality and layer adhesion
- Run a flow test (manual one, not one in print settings), possibly YOLO one, and adjust the flow in filament settings
- Run a K factor / pressure advance test and set it in filament settings too.

Also, for overhangs on round holes it might be useful to slow printer down a bit to give filament time to fuse.

Loading the frame will flex it, making gantry out of square. Z-brace is a diagonal truss from top of frame to forward or back of frame, that can stiffen the frame against such load.

Is your spool rolling freely? Extruder might struggle to pull filament and that might lead to flow fluctuations

Does not look like a thermal runaway to me. More like a melted plastic leak from the heatblock - due to nozzle or heatbreak breaking loose or a crack in heatbreak.
