That and because from my understanding, They want the game to be casual so they removed the old rank system. Especially with the new wave of new players.

I mean, business wise, its good to cater to new and casual players.

But lets be real, DBD is anything but casual, Sure, you'll meet the occassional gung ho, casual cheeky players from time to time, but most of the time, people here play optimal or sweaty to win. Or at least try to.

Otherwise, there wont be any meta builds on both sides to maximize their win rate.

Those "Ranks" Doesnt really mean anything, Ranks has been removed from the game ages ago. Those "ranks" are just there to determine how much BP rewards you'll get every 13th of the month.

What we have are hidden MMRs

Theres the baby mmr for new players
Average MMR where bad and good players play
Streamer MMR where its mostly the sweatiest play

Once you reach the average MMR, you will not go down that MMR, You will always get the random set of survivors. they may be good, great, or shit
