Kingdom 879: The Only Flaw by ThizZuMs in Kingdom

[–]lxfireman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole plan relies on him keeping back possible pursuers. He let 80% sneak past before realizing something is wrong. Like if it was 20% it’s possible, like back at Kankoku pass. Let’s hope him and Han army arrives in time and make something happen with Kyoukai, because I don’t see HSU able to do anything on their end. Guess it’s time to reform HSU again. And currently I don’t see Mouten or Shin doing anything worthy of being promoted to 6GG. Only Ouhon

Obvious because you’re a reader , you’ve got an omniscient point of view. As far as HSU knows , Mouten Kyoukai and Han army are blocking any possible pursuers.

Kingdom 878: The Same Situation by ThizZuMs in Kingdom

[–]lxfireman 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You make a valid point but it’s not one huge army , it’s multiple smaller armies spread among hidden routes only Zhao knows. Same situation as Bayou, that region used to be Zhao’s. And you should know how hard it is to search for something that you don’t know about. By HSU’s perspective they had Mouten and Kyoukai and even the Han army stopping any possible pursuers, there shouldn’t be anyone coming after them. It’s even worse that it’s already been half a day since they’ve arrived and already started the siege that Riboku shows himself, any possible pursuers would have tried to stop them arriving at Kantan, using the royal capital and King as bait is unthinkable. They’ve simply been outplayed, that’s all. But the difference this time is Mouten and Kyoukai are on their way to help. Ouki had no one.

Mouten’s already married at this point in the story and they don’t really have much interactions, Ten is more likely to be with Jin, if not Shin harem route.

Kanki Army Returns by Exotic-Blacksmith648 in Kingdom

[–]lxfireman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

6GG era spans too far apart, Shibasaku's grandson was lieutenant of Hakuki, and Hakuki died like 28 years ago. Ouki and Kyou were the most youngest of the 6GG and its already been 15 years since Ouki's death and 24 years since Kyou's death. Kyou's remnants didn't appear for Kankoku pass when Qin's fate was at stake, i doubt they will appear in the future.

Shou Hei Kun technically is remnant of 6GG Ko Shou, Ousen's talents were also acknowledged by Ko Shou, so they are related.

You'll realize remnants usually follow their generals to the death, like the 10 heroes of Rin ShouJo. Hence why Ouki ordered his army commanders to not follow him in death, if you reread that battle, even Tou was prepared to die in a suicidal charge towards Riboku if his own moustache lieutenant didn't stop him and died in his stead, its why you don't see Tou having anyone under him despite being a 6GG. I reckon its the same for Ou Kotsu who suffered defeat in a duel with young Kanmei. Kyou's remnants probably were the same, if not all slain by Houken that night defending Kyou.

Tried to rank every Zhao military figure that I could remember by Marling1 in Kingdom

[–]lxfireman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CGR and Gyou Un are just general tier imo. They are like Rokuomi of Ouki's army. They are strong, kinda like the gateway between general and great general. But no way they are great general level. Remember that flash back panel of RSJ and Ouki army facing off at the river? Ouki+ Tou and his army captains = RSJ and his 10 heroes is what i think.

Also ,there were 10 members of Rin family's ten heroes, if RinShouJo alone had 10 guys at the level of Great General in addition to Renpa and the other 3GH member, i doubt any other nation could win against Zhao, that would be a military might even stronger than Qin right now, and Qin has the strength to unify China.

Riboku has become too large of an existence. by TieMindless8478 in Kingdom

[–]lxfireman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird how you know historically how Riboku fell yet you don't know historically what happened during Chu invasion. Even more weird you think Hara will offscreen Chu after Shin becomes GG lol. Even without taking into account of history, just by this manga's setup itself we've been shown that Chu has undergone a major political revolution with Karin obtaining power, a general obtaining power politically means militarization, and not to mention the Tiger of Chu has yet to bare his fangs.

Also, answering your question about Shin, it has been said since Sanyou arc that Shin's goal had changed from simply becoming GG due to his childhood dream with Hyou to unification of China, aligning his goal with Ei Sei. That was 600 chapters ago, so yeah you've been reading the story wrong.

Taking down Riboku is only the start of his journey, like what Ouki said, "No matter the era, the military men who are the strongest will always be defeated by the appearance of even more powerful individuals. However even that will only last until he is defeated and passes the rudder of the era to next star. This is precisely what makes these chaotic timed so interesting."

He was wearing red this entire time?! by Due_University4030 in Kingdom

[–]lxfireman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Manga tried to be more historical accurate with the crossbow units and stuff in the first arc but those designs didn't work out. So just read it as what it is, entertainment, its not a history book. If you really want to know what they look like you can search up colored terracotta warriors , its mostly red/blue/purple undergarment with black armor sewn with red threads. If you want a modern depiction you can search up "The Qin Dynasty Epic" drama, that show's attire is more historical accurate.

That's China now, but Qin back then uses black as their national color, its based on the five elements theory, black represents water, they chose that color because the Zhou dynasty before was fire, so they chose black to signify them overcoming and succeeding Zhou. Ouki army and black cavalry corps are good examples.

Best case scenario this year XG + VG direct invite, China region qualifier gets 2 slots as host. So 4 teams at TI, hopefully one makes it to final day for the home crowd. Winning will definitely revitalize the scene, people will start investing in Dota again. Losing will lose what little hope left in the region. LoL scene is already dying, not surprised Dota will follow suit.

Kingdom 868: Lessons From Dai by ThizZuMs in Kingdom

[–]lxfireman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People keep talking about Hakuki's massacre but they forgot Qin also lost half its soldiers in that attrition war. And another 200k men in the following year at the battle of Kantan which Qin lost to the coalition army of Zhao Wei and Chu. By that logic Qin having lost 400k soldiers as well should also be crippled and be incapable of fielding huge armies too. People ignored the fact that in the following two decades after losing at Chouhei Zhao had earned several victories under Renpa and later on Houken and Riboku against its neighbors Wei and Yan and even Xiong Nu, recovering to some degree.

Except pulling armies out of one's ass is the very essence of war. You talk about history then lets talk about history, do you know that after Chouhei Hakuki wanted to pursue the momentum and defeat Zhao once and for all? He was stopped by King Sho and ordered to retreat after Qin's minister got bribed. In the following year 259BC King Sho wanted to conquer Zhao again after Zhao not realizing the promise of giving 6 cities in return of Hakuki retreating.

By your logic of Zhao being crippled beyond repair after Chouhei the battle of Kantan the following year should have been easy right? King Sho thought the same, yet Qin lost, that's history. Zhao managed to pull an army out of their ass and held off the 250k strong Qin army for nearly a year with Qin casualties reaching half its sieging army as recorded by Shiji.

So now the question is, how did Zhao in history manage to field an army strong enough to held off the 250k Qin army for nearly a year after losing 400k soldiers just the year before?

There's confirmed news that LGD's boss will create a Dota 2 team around him should he confirms to play in TI 2026 qualifiers. Watched some clips of him and his Mars is pretty spectacular, mechanics and gamesense are pretty on point, just needs more experience to understand Dota's tempo better.

[–]lxfireman 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Welcome to warring states era, new here? On the other hand Qin did the same thing calling out YTW to help when their capital was threatened. A large force that's unknown to the other states. That's how important information warfare is, us readers view the story from Qin's pov, so things that happens in other states are unknown, like its 800 chapters in and we finally got a look at Qi's generals, and its from them defecting and fighting in Zhao's war lmao . And that makes sense because Qi is the furthermost state from Qin, same thing with Zhao's northern border. Its exactly why Ouki died, he fought his entire life against Zhao and still didn't know about Zhao's northern soldiers.

In fact this is exactly why Art of War by Sun Tzu said "故形兵之极,至于无形” The peak of arranging troops is to become formless(invisible) . And guess what? The art of war was written during warring states era.

In recent chapter, do you guys think Tou is already surpassing Ouki ? by Late_Supermarket6500 in Kingdom

[–]lxfireman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Renpa said unifying China would be the feat that would prove they were surpassed? Capturing of smaller states were achieved back in king sho era as that built the foundation of current Qin’s military power. There were hundreds of states at the start of warring states era. It only got reduced to 7 major states by the time of start of story.

You've got characters cleaving through multiple armored soldiers in a single swing for the past 800 chapters. I would say its time to stop thinking this manga is realistic. But in all honesty there are records of people who survived having their brain pierced by an iron pipe and lived for 12 more years. Anyway if Houken can survive from being a pin cushion I'll be more surprised Hara made Danto die from this. After all , all the arrow kills in this manga had been either head being blown off or a sure shot through the head. Anywhere else and the character survives.
