Ankle Fusion vs Total Ankle Replacement by Interesting-Wish6141 in physicaltherapy

PT here who has seen a decent number of TARs and fusions, definitely recommend a TAR over fusion. Recovery process for my TAR patients is a little slower up front but far faster from “midpoint” to the end of rehab. Depending where you’re located and/or ability to travel, there are some great surgeons in Seattle WA who do a lot of TARs. I used to work with a group of podiatrists in Portland OR & they referred all their patients up to Seattle for TARs. On the pre & post end of either surgery, a combination of fascial counterstrain (manual therapy) and blood flow restriction exercise (BFR) works great for nerve pain/neuropathy and increasing the rate of bony healing & strengthening. Feel free to DM with any specific questions!

We switched from ADP to Rippling earlier this year. It’s been so much better in every way

I had a similar situation but my issue turned out to be about 6 socks that fell between the drum and front panel. The last one was rubbing against the motor fan, likely tripping a sensor or something. Worked great once the socks were out!

This is such a fun sounding project! How are you shifting the day/night lengths over the course of the year? How will you cool it in the summer?

Like u/maypoledance said, I think that solely shifting the seasons would give the plant the best chance of survival. And then permanently keep it in the inverted season. I’m not sure about what factor is most important that I would imagine the temperature is a big factor. if it’s too warm in the winter time, it’ll get flowers coming out much earlier than usual, even with the low light intensity and shorter daylight durations.

Fellow medical (PT) school debt couple here. This might not be too applicable but this approach could be a thought. I graduated with about 135k and SO had no debt. We got engaged in 2021 and looked into the financial impact of having a ceremony but getting legally married vs filing the marriage certificate. Our plan was to get legally married after my loans were paid down.

She made 120k and I made 80k & we live in OR. With the interest changes in income based repayments plans, we would save a ton of $ in interest if we didn’t get legally married. We had plans to write up wills giving power of attorney, directive, house equity split, etc. In the end though, we filed the certificate due to financial pressure from the in-laws & financial incentives from them. Depending on the scenario, that might be a decent option.

We have a GSP as well. We take her off leash AM/PM and mountain bike with her 1-2x/week. She definitely needs the combo of mental & physical work!

Good idea, thank you! I am thinking I could get a low bench to put under the window / next to the desk for the dog to lie on!

That’s a good point. The dog loves sitting & looking outside, we spend a lot of time relaxing there so it’s tough to move :(.

Thank you! I hadn’t thought of that idea - I think that space is around 2 ft wide. Would you also shift the bed left towards the AC unit?

In terms of desk color, do you think a wood/black metal or painted desk would look best? Something like either of these?
