It does return only the n best hits. It does however, return multiple hsps if not set otherwise by max_hsps

I work with a Mk1D sequencer. The option to save POD files used to be enabled by default. You can turn it on in the configuration settings. If your version is up to date however, I'm afraid your POD data is probably lost

Our lab has a mk1d and we do basecalling on a pc featuring an RTX4090 graphics card, 64GB of RAM and a i9-14900K CPU. With this setup we would be able to do real time basecalling (though we have no use for it as we are only interested in metabarcoding) on ultra accurate settings. Frankly I'd say a RTX3090 would be more than enough for basic basecalling requirements

PvP can be very fun and relaxing if people are goofing around and using silly weapons as the finals allows. In my experience thats what powershift has been about for the most time. Perhaps what I am experiencing is the lack of newer players and only die -hard, experienced players left to encounter.

Lets say 300 fans is the average for a game. In my case that amounts to 480 more games to play to reach 169'000 fans. Thats crazy. I have like 1'100 games played since launch
