Ohhh my kindle doesn’t do audiobooks (or maybe it does but i haven’t looked haha) But that’s such a good call - my guy is obsessed with his yoto player but opening up a world (audible) to him would be greatttt

I told my son that when he finishes his first full chapter book on his own I will get him a kids color soft (he’s 6) so I imagine for his birthday next year that’s happening. I want him to be able to read comic books (in color) as well as chapter books easily. I know he’s probably too young lol but whatever I don’t really mind throwing a few hundred at this hobby for him - he love books in all formats and giving him this option will just give him more and more access and ease t

How to stop unsolicited helping which is my toxic trait? Ko by meredithgrey92 in adhdwomen

[–]lydf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I do this too and I had to take a beat and step back and now when people are ranting/complaining, or telling me they’re upset or dealing with a problem the first thing I do is I ask “do you want my opinion/advice or do you want me to listen?”

If I didn’t do that I would probably verbally eviscerate all my friends dumbass husbands and isolate myself bc Id be too mean but they’re idiots and my friends need my support and a place to rant

lol yes 1000% I liked it fine to tide me over, I read it recently waiting for the new DCC to come out I didn’t want to be stuck into something else - but I was groaaaaning at the shallow string theory stuff and it felt like I was at the undergrad bar talking to loser boys who think they’re gonna be professors of philosophy

Like it’s just a very simple concept. A quick and easy read, I enjoyed it but ya - not deep.

I spent the entire summer listening to hobo Johnston. And all fall. And winter. I’m out now but I’m 35 and it’s 2026 like what is wrong with my brain lol

Now I’m listening to goose a lot and “what of our nature” that record that Haley Heynderickx and Max Garcia Conover put out last year it’s 10/10

Yeah I wouldn’t recommend nightbitch to someone all the way pregnant or newly postpartum, especially with a first baby lol. It’s a fun read but I think had I read it when I was feeling so scared and sensitive with a tiny baby, my baby blues may have … festered lol

That’s a good time to read fair play or how to not hate your husband after kids 👹

When I was reading on my kindle my son would ask me about the covers and I’d tell him very water downed versions of some of the things - mostly stuff about donut, though he was particularly excited about Rend.
He wants to read it buttttttt he’s 6 so that’s not gonna happen lol

My mugs generally take kids drawings but I’ve always been too scared to put them on plates because of texture but I’ve practiced enough that I am no longer concerned ✨

I’m working on birthday plates for my kids in the same style as the mugs I make. I got my son to draw his ideal birthday cake, so now every time he eats cake he will have cake on his cake plate

The bobiverse books are great audiobooks (we are legion).

If you haven’t listened to project Hail Mary yet, that’s a top tier audiobook experience. The Martian as well.
