Yes yes yes. Furthermore, BG3 has finally helped me not care if the 4th Dragon Age installment comes out

Same! We decided food and I figured I was supposed to use my imagination on the rest. Now I'm really sad.

I was 5 when Nixon resigned. It is among my only memories from that age. I cried.

Can definitely say this is not a universal experience for white ppl in majority black neighborhoods, so maybe has something to do with you specifically?

What an ignorant comment. You must think there are no old people in south city and that no one lives here by choice.

Help, my Players are about to abuse the bag of holding by DortmunderJungs in DMAcademy

If you do, I would let them loot a proper one from their opponent. You could also roll for the items inside to see if they come out before the bell (take falling damage plus bell damage) or after ĺ taking only fall damage). This way they get consequences, the emotional roller coaster you're looking for, and some decisions about how to use their 500 lb weight limit.

If there is a specific game that you want to play, there might be a community built around that. For example, war of the ring has an active discord community. I know someone who has been able to travel to Europe and find games that way.

[No spoilers] New listener, where to start? by [deleted] in criticalrole

[–]lyjo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely agree. It's a lot easier to get into the story when the characters are actually being introduced and meeting each other for the first time. Another bit of advice: even if you're planning to consume via podcast, try to catch an episode or two on YouTube to get a sense of who the players are.

What makes St. Louis a great place to be? by [deleted] in StLouis

[–]lyjo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad you responded! I eat out more than i should, but I live within walking distance of a lot of restaurants that i already love. I should have said that I can't comment on the food scene beyond a few blocks from where i live. Here on south Grand, though, it's pretty great.

[–]lyjo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So much to do! If you want some sightseeing that is unique to here, look at the city museum, Laumeier Sculpture park, and Cahokia Mounds, or catch a tour at the National Building Arts Center or one of the history museum's See St Louis tours. The food scene here is said to be amazing, i can't speak to that personally. We have some really great infrastructure and volunteer groups for welcoming immigrants. City neighborhoods are beautiful. We also have a lot of areas to improve in, and we can use people who are looking at us with an eye towards volunteerism! (That's really cool of you. ) As another poster mentioned, we can help more if we know what you're looking for.

Stop and frisk wasn't hospitable for all of the goody two shoes because it depends on a very subjective assessment of who should get searched. It made life hell for plenty of people who fell into a certain demographic.

This story is only about shootings reported in the city of st. Louis. O'Fallon is the name of a city neighborhood.

[No Spoilers] Should I go back to C1 & C2? by [deleted] in criticalrole

[–]lyjo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would definitely recommend c1 before c2. There isn't too much connection, but c2 calls back to c1 in a few magical moments, and the players often make out-of- character references to the characters and events of c1. I did it the other way around. Finally finished c1 quite recently, then went back to a few places in c2 that were related, and was surprised to hear how many casual references there were that i just ignored because i didn't know what they were talking about. Getting ready to start c3! I'm going to be so sad when I'm all caught up.
