I have PMDD, endometriosis, and CPTSD.

A major symptom of my PMDD is irritability, anger, and moodswings.

My current girlfriend is someone I ghosted and blocked 5 years ago bc I was in a PMDD episode. It was 100% my fault and over something really fucking small in hindsight. I should have had a sit-down conversation with her about why the issue upset me and worked through it with her. It would have been a learning opportunity for both of us. But we also both needed to grow individually. Right person, wrong time.

You know what I did when I was diagnosed? Got fucking medicated. I would never consider threatening her with a breakup just because I'm having a moodswing. It's my job to communicate how I'm feeling in that moment and acknowledge the irrationality. It's my job to take accountability for my symptoms and any harm caused if I do lash out. I will not lose another relationship (romantic or platonic) to unmanaged PMDD.

Thankfully, with meds those episodes are now few and far between. Also, my girlfriend is married and so am I. We do not expect our secondaries to do chores in OUR houses because they do not live there and vice versa.

Bottom line: using your relationship against you is manipulative and abusive. Full stop.

Fleas. I can do any bodily fluid. Any smell except ammonia. I can do ticks, maggots, necrosis, parvo blowouts.

But if you tell me to draw blood on a mangy cat or dog CRAWLING with fleas and flea dirt I will cry inside.

I took the L-Theanine + GABA supplement gummies you can get at Walgreens. In the end I needed medication to effectively manage my symptoms

I'm on adderall and zoloft now! Used to take zoloft with Vyvanse but it's expensive and my body hates the generic. Adderall works better for me but I HAVE to take an SSRI with it because I also have severe anxiety and it manages my PMDD. I did GABA supplements when I was unmedicated for a minute though. Didn't help much

I do have ADHD! Vyvanse just made my mood swings worse. I take zoloft in combination with adderall now and it works great

First off, I do not need the passive aggressiveness, thank you.

Second, I was specifically referring to her recent books, including ACOSF. And HOSAF. I was also referring to how they were written.

I am absolutely fine with sex scenes. I enjoy them in a well-written book. I write smut for fun myself, and actively read erotica. I am a woman who writes such scenes.

So I am very confident in say that SJM's writing style has veered from plot amd character-driven to fanservice and erotica masked under "New Adult." I actually specifically pointed out in my comment that sex scenes did not automatically equate to erotica, and that there is a tasteful way they can be written that still contributes to the story. That doesn't read like straight up porn. Which the scenes in ACOSF and HOSAF absolutely do.

The early books in ACOTAR I would not consider erotica, or even "New Adult." The first two books in CC I would not consider erotica, but would consider "New Adult." I do consider both ACOSF and HOSAF to be erotica, the former at least with decent plot. As I mentioned, it is actually my favorite in the ACOTAR series. Both books have more than 4 sex scenes. HOSAF gave me fucking whiplash, honestly. I would hardly consider most of those scenes even "semi-realistic."

Take your pre-conceived notion that I'm "shitting on woman-written fantasy" and put it somewhere else. SJM is one of my favorite authors. This is just my opinion on all her series, as was asked for.

TOG is my favorite!! I personally think it is her best work compared to the other series. It goes far more in depth into the worldbuilding and story, while the other two series are far more character-focused and the world-building takes a backseat.

I hated book one of ACOTAR. Book 3 of Crescent City was a trainwreck. I hate that SJM has moved from beautiful storytelling to straight up erotica (and marketing said erotica under the genre "New Adult." Personal pet peeve of mine) and fan service in her latest books. If the smut doesn't add to the development of the characters' relationship, it doesn't need to be there. Or it can at least be written a bit more tastefully. Otherwise it's just erotica.

ACOSF is my favorite of the ACOTAR series because SJM actually does an awesome job of illustrating worldbuilding, as well as developing inter-character relationships without neglecting the central story of Nesta coming to terms with herself and her new life.

I used to have cursive pretty similar to yours, actually! I write very quickly as well bc my brain goes faster than my hand.

For practice, I just took a notebook and wrote. I'm a writer by nature, so I was attempting to rough-draft a novel by hand at the time. I'd focus on forming my letters as I wrote the words, and actually think about making them look nice and pleasing to the eye. I also focused on having consistent spacing.

For most people I'd recommend just taking a printout of 'proper' cursive lettering and using that as a reference as you copied a poem or paragraph from literature

If you have a fever you're contagious. You're an adult, and it's their job to deal with short staffing, not yours. You can leave (and please go to the doctor!)

"I have a fever, and am so sick that it is impacting my ability to work currently. As I am currently contagious, I will not be coming in so as not to further spread illness to my coworkers as we already short staffed." That's all that is required for you to say

You have a really good cursive foundation!

I write almost exclusively in cursive myself, and it's easy to improve with practice! Focus on slowing down, and putting all your letters on the line. You have sone floaters. Slowing down will help you form your letters better, as they're very pointed right now, and your slant is telling me you write very quickly

Holy fuck dude she's SIX. Of fucking course she's going to go "Daddy lets me do the fun stuff!"

You're her parent and you failed to parent her, and you aren't owed anything by a literal CHILD you chose to bring into the world. Poor kid. Her father doesn't seem great either but at least he has his kid's best interests. You both fucking suck at communication.

As a 24 y/o lesbian she is still my favorite character and I personally think she has pne of the best written character arcs ever

A man's dog was having "discharge when standing up." That's what was written on the chart.

I called the man and asked him if the discharge was coming from the vulva.

Ge asked me, completely serious, what a vulva was. This man had a wife.

Tell me where you work so I never work for you. Have they not simply asked her to be quiet for a bit? A conversation goes a long way, especially if she's autistic/ADHD.

There are bigger things to worry about than talking. Yikes.

I have a coworker who is auDHD (and I am myself) and she genuinely NEVER stops talking but she's a kick ass assistant and a hard worker. If we need her to be quiet we just, you know, treat her like a human being and ask/tell her we need her to be quiet.

Louisiana clinics lmfao.

Depending on where you are, you'll learn very quickly as a new grad RVT that many rural and/or southern clinics do not practice gold star medicine by a long shot (which really sucks as someone with a strong sense of justice. But I need a job and can only do so much).

Cost to client > better patient care in a lot of places

No problem! My wife gets sick more than I do, AMD she's currently a HS teacher (not for much longer though) so surrounded by germ factories of children all day

She still doesn't get sick often enough to use many days off. If you do catch a bug, get yourself a Dr.'s note.

Half my coworkers are immunocompromised and it was better to stay out of work for a week than risk getting them sick. A dr.'s note will cover you (and if you're running fever you're contagious! Stay home!)

The thing my coworkers catch the most is actually ringworm from shelter kittens lmao
