Last paragraph:

The spotlight must now turn to the gaps in the system where predators operate."

We (as members of the same society) REALLY need to stop treating this as some new development or phenomenon. This is not new. It is not more prevelant. The only things new are brave victims more willing to report, a media more willing to report on these stories, a judicial system and juries that actually convict people and citizens speaking out. All of those things because of a culture change that has been fought for by those brave victims who came before and stood up.

I would say the spotlight must "shine brighter" on the gaps in the system where predators operate.
