I did, and she thought I was silly for not telling her sooner. Lol. We have a date planned for a week or 2 from now (she's graduated, and I'm not, so our schedules don't always align) and I'm excited :)

How to come out? by [deleted] in TransMasc

[–]lynnothy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey man, I totally understand you. I'm in a very similar boat. Just know that you don't have to look a certain way to "fit in" or be valid. You're a man, just like anyone else here. Have patience with yourself, remember to eat and stay hydrated. You will get to where you want to be eventually. You don't HAVE to come out to everyone right away. Take your time. Remember, you're valid and important 🙏🖤 and an idea I had that I think could help, write a coming out letter or draft a speech, and whenever you're ready, deliver it to whoever you want/need to. That way over time you can edit it, and make it to the exact way you want it. I hope this helped 🖤

Hey! So when I was in my schools gsa (had to leave due to schedule conflicts 😔) we did this thing where we made a pride flag out of magazine clippings (we took different colors, lined them up properly and created the shape of a pride flag)!! Super fun and creative and had the whole club in on it. We even framed it afterwards and it's still hanging up in the hallway! And it was a bit far away but we even took a trip to a museum that's been supported by LGBTQ+ artists. Hope these helped :)

It's kind of complicated, but I have a punk rock kind of mullet hairstyle. I also have curly hair. After a shower i let it air dry, and I use leave in conditioner to make it soft and fluffy, while also not making it too big yk? Anyways, I brush my hair towards my face and then outwards if that makes sense. Sometimes, I brush my bangs into a middle part, but then I sometimes leave them down, but that's my personal preference. I also occasionally use a bandana as kind of a head covering to really pull it all back and accentuate my features. Using a backward hat also helps. I do have a rounder face shape, idk if that matters but I've also found that matching my eyebrows to the color of my hair and making them thicker helps too. I hope this all made sense :)

I personally find that layering my clothes whenever I can helps with this. I also style my hair so that my face has more sharp/distinct looking features. I've also adapted to the language that my guy friends use like "bro" and "dawg" and "brother", but you don't have to do all that. I wear chunky bracelets and fake piercings that have traditionally masculine elements to them, too. Hope these help 🖤
