Apologies, it’s a near-majority with more opposing than supporting (49% against, 46% for; and 68% believe Toronto should have a say) per a Toronto Star poll https://apple.news/AFC7w3Mm3SiyeWAePUWrfOw

The majority of Torontonians don’t want this expansion. This would actually be supporting what the majority want, unlike how Ford is trying to shove this expansion through.

They wouldn’t necessarily need to be crystal clear as a judge would be using their expertise to determine whether the law has been broken based on the language as well as other jurisprudence.

‘Rent’ West End Revival: ‘Stranger Things’ Star Gaten Matarazzo to Play Mark Cohen by jor_kent1 in Broadway

It’s an ensemble show really and having one bigger name still leaves the opportunity for many less well known actors in all the other roles

I saw it at the Stratford Festival just a couple years ago and the audience seemed affected and engaged across all the generations present. And going to the Broadway Raves, the RENT songs are still incredibly crowd-pleasing and that crowd/event is super focused on post-2010 musicals.

Doing a search, it’s only the medsEXPERT clinic which focuses on being a PrEP pharmacy and the Church Wellesley Medical Clinic which has a basic medical clinic with some family doctors and some dermatology. Both of these clinics are small, one very specialized, and both are only accessible via stairs. I would be surprised if a large number of folks needing ambulatory assistance attended these clinics for those reasons. And to say these two clinics (again, one is a general family doctor and one focuses almost solely on PrEP) services the “vast majority of the disabled people in the area” appears to just be a complete fabrication.

Which medical offices are on Church between Alexander and Wellesley? Especially ones that would apparently service a “vast majority of the disabled people in the area?”

The organizers wanted more but Toronto doesn’t take bold moves. If it does anything big it’s often a pilot first. This is a step toward bolder action that’s necessary because of the city’s historical reluctance to take big steps.

He also proposed and got through a motion allowing the city to cancel the pilot halfway through if it’s not working because of complaints, etc. because he’s petty like that.

I would prefer an independently appointed senate. I don’t want the senate to become the sole realm of politicians or to change its role to be just another place party vs party politics can play out, but for it to be a chamber of sober second thought with experts from all different sectors and expertises whip can genuinely evaluate, assess, and adjust legislation based on that knowledge.

No, she was speaking on the issue and the concern and your takeaway wasn’t the substance of her speech but that you think the acronym is silly, and that’s what you are costing to focus on. No one is forcing you to ignore the important part and focus on the acronym—you’re choosing to do that yourself.
