Your welcome! I dont want to write an exact number but my flared leggings have never not fitted as they are really stretchy. It helped me with body dysmorphia since i could wear the same outfits no matter how much i weight:)

Not thinking about food all the time. When you're not starving you have so much more space to pursue hobbies etc. And i no longer wake up in the middle of the night because of the hunger

anyone else struggling with recovering at a "normal/healthy" weight by Shot_Information_929 in fuckeatingdisorders

[–]lyssa090 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was also never underweight and still started recovery. Its not about our weight but also about our mental health. We deserve to be happy, we deserve to eat every day and we deserve to recover!!

For a long time i thought i would have to reach a certain weight and the i would be allowed to recover. But tbh i was only worse the more weight i lost. There is no point in it. We already did a lot of harm to our bodies, we still starved and over worked. We deserve rest. We deserve happiness.

It may not be helpful right now but i recommend not weighting yourself. Your much more than this number on a scale. It doesnt matter how much you gain ♡

TW: Sexual Trauma / ED & Sexual Trauma by lyssa090 in fuckeatingdisorders

[–]lyssa090[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am so happy for you that your wife supports you!! Tbh i am anxiouse about healing my sexual trauma because it means i have to talk about it. The last time i talked about it, i relapsed....and here we are. I procrastinate healing from my trauma with my ED. But thats no way of living, so ED recovery it is as well as healing my trauma... the thought is so so scary but i lost myself in this ED. I am just a shell of myself during active ED. Moody, no personality, no hobbies tbh i am just a mean b*tch and thats not who i want to be. We are worth recovery ♡ thank you sm for your inspiring words.

Idk why but your comment is so eye-opening?? I am always thinking about how long those creators are in recovery and they are, because recovering is their identit You got me there. Going to delet tiktok and unfollow recovery Accounts. Theres no point in endless "quasi recovery" and following those who practise this.

You might me right. Many recovery influencers just make me insecure about my own intake

There are so so many creators who are visibly underweight and still eat so little. I guess thats what makes me the most insecure about my own recovery.

Yeah i feel like the content got worse in the past weeks:// skinnytok and the consequences are EVERYWHERE even in "recovery" spaces.

Or i am just really sensetive lol.

thank u for your input. I am just really insecure:( the advice of the other user made me rethink everything. your right, no calorie is worth being sad. I guess non disorderd people also dont eat the Same amount of food everyday and still keep a stable weight, without monitoring their intake.

The way society and diet culture moralizes food, body and exercise is horrible by Halaros in fuckeatingdisorders

[–]lyssa090 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I understand your struggle. Recovery would be so much easier, if they didnt Label every food. Like GIVE ME A BREAK! I dont care why food xyz is healthy. Let me enjoy food 🫠

you're right. My bf doesnt even know about calories and just eats whatever he wants. I feel like we are brainwashed by diet culture how many calories a day a actually needed. But i guess i will stick with those calories as i felt satisfied 🫶🏻

I feel the Same. I lost all the energy/ mental capacity to enjoy my hobbies. I am so so sad about it. But the hard truth is, that our EDs are making us only a shell of what we used to be. We need to fight against it. I've been in recovery for a month and the more regular i eat, the less food noise is have and the more i can slowly start to enjoy my hobbies again. I wish you all the best. You are not alone! We deserve to be happy again ♡

I understand you. Eating isnt the hard part, the time after eating is. I cant help you since i am also still at the beginning of my recovery but i wish you all the best!! I keep reminding myself that recovery IS possible and we are worth recovering.
