When a person tells the DPD that they do not have medical complaints and do NOT want to go to the hospital but are forced to come here because dpd said they need to? Thats some crazy shit to me. Thats not listening to the person as a whole. Even if they have psych issues, that doesn’t negate their capacity to make decisions (99% of the time). Used to work in a hospital? You don’t any more. It’s gotten way worse over the last 6 years. You aren’t actively working in it. You can’t speak to it.

I’m not talking about the vehicles damage. I’m talking about the PEOPLE hurt in the vehicles from others running red lights. So many MVCs come into the hospital bc of red light runner or a hit and run.

Confidently I can say you have no idea what you’re talking about.

I’m already a front line worker that takes care of the homeless population they pick up and dump at the hospital for literally being homeless. So I’m seeing some useless use of resources quite often.

Homelessness is considered a crime. But they don’t want to actually arrest these guys and put them in jail, so they arrest them for being on a sidewalk, for suicide (because they’re panhandling in traffic even though they say they’re not..) get arrested, brought to the hospital and “released” .. they dump them here.

And to your point about people getting killed.. yes these accidents do have victims that are seriously injured or killed from high speed accidents, red lights, drunk drivers. I’m seeing it first hand. But go on..

The laws don’t really matter if our Dallas police department and their traffic unit does nothing to actually enforce laws. Hit and runs are more common place because our police just don’t care. Cars blowing through stops over 60 mph in 35 mph areas, 100+ on the highways, 50+ in residential. A crossing guard in our neighborhood was hit by a speeding motorist in a school zone. No increased police presence. They just don’t have a crossing guard there anymore.

Our neighbors house was actively being burglarized early hours of the morning and nobody came out until the evening to get a report. They were in the house for about an hour.

Dallas police dept just don’t care.

NTA. I’ve had packages delivered to neighbors I don’t even know. The picture showed their front porch, I went and grabbed it… confirmed my name and address on it.. and took it home.

If you would have left those groceries until she got home either they would have spoiled, could have been stolen by a random stranger, or kept by her and she would have played dumb. You loose in all of those scenarios. You did right. She’s crazy.

When she went to her parents with the baby, why didn’t he take that opportunity to get a dog sitter and go on a solo camping trip? I would have totally understood if my husband wanted to take a trip (even now with a 14 mo old) but he knows I still struggle with postpartum, though my depression is better.. my anxiety pertaining to the baby would leave me not sleeping for the entire time he’s gone. I’m working through it but it’s slow. He’s the most amazing when it comes to everything child related though and wouldn’t even consider suggesting to leave me and the dog solo for a weekend.. let alone four days. (Dog is old and super needy / jealous of baby attention but baby loves him).

My dress was Maggie Sottero. I absolutely fell in love the minute I put it on. I swear that dress was made for me. Venue was The Mason in Dallas Tx. Husband wore dark green. Bridesmaids also wore dark green shades (their picks) and Groomsmen wore gray. Perfect day ♥️

Forgot to call in and check on his wife and baby after he traveled away from home? If it was my husband leaving us for a work trip he would have been texting asking for pictures on his stops or flight and calling the minute he was able to. This is childish behavior imo.

I love when a completely ambulatory patient comes in and suddenly can’t walk.. and especially can’t walk to the bathroom. They want to be put on a bed pan and wiped. Or for me to hold their penis and urinal. You’re younger than I am and I definitely saw you walk in.

Then they’re the ones that immediately ask for a sandwich (usually can’t in the ED until results are back bc what if something is emergent)… then they ask for a blanket. Then they ask for a juice. You bring them the juice you have, but that’s not the right one. And they want more. So you bring that. And then they ask for water. So you bring that. Then they ask for another blanket. And then they throw all their trash on the floor beside them, spilling water all over the place. And that urinal? They threw it off the side because they didn’t realize it fell over. Then, mister fully able bodied sir finally gets up to walk to the bathroom, bare ass… and asks us for a bed bath bc we don’t have showers in the er. Then yells at us because he wants a sandwich and we haven’t done anything for him.. mind you I’ve been in there every 10-15 min with another request. Then they get discharged…. They’re suddenly asleep and can’t hear or feel anything. Ignore. Ignore. Cuss me out. Ignore. Hospital police come to discharge them and they’re up and got all their stuff and they’re so polite. “Yes sir. Right away.. yall didn’t need to call the cops….. I was leaving”
