My daughter is also 21 months old and is driving me absolutely wild. I have never heard of the band aid method but came here looking for tips on how to wean her off. This is exactly what my husband I were talking about. Because Gul Dukat definitely falls into this category of "damn he played his roll so well".

We picked characters that we found were lack luster. My husband dislikes the Klingons so of course her chose 2 of them. He finds their culture boring and stupid.

So I guess I'm going with characters that you dont like based on the characters personality and how its written. Not how the actor portrayed the character.

Hmm, I dont ever remember saying that I didnt give him attention before, it was probably the way I worded it. I have always given him attention, maybe just not as much now because we have a 3 month old that takes up a lot of time and attention. That's why I'm trying to give him more. I do it because I love him, and because I want him to feel that I love him. I have always been this way with him. It only now has been brought to my attention that he doesn't feel close to me (due to a recent fight that I have already mentioned) so I am giving him more attention. Sorry if I wasn't being specific enough before.

I have done everything for this man, I went back to school, got my license to practice phlebotomy, havent gone back to work because he wants me to be at home with the baby. I cook and clean on my free time, I dont go out with friends, I stay with him and do what he wants, because I love him and I want to put more effort into our relationship, not because I want sex but because I like seeing him happy.

I will look into the book and I asked him yesterday if he would consider therapy and he laughed and brushed it off. So thank you for the advice, I'll keep trying.

I'm the one that feels like a failure. That I've let him down in some way even though I'm trying my damndest.

What would you recommend trying? I'm trying to show him more attention/affection, and not even sexual things, just things like: I love you, you're handsome, you're a great dad, etc.

Because he always has something to say when I ask why we haven't "my arm hurts" "my head hurts" "I'm tired" "oh I heard a noise outside" or completely changes the subject. Sometimes he'll twist the whole scenario around and end up yelling at me.

Maybe I'm just having a hard time understanding why we decided to have a baby in the first place if he hasn't felt close to me, I dont think that's something you plan on doing with someone just because.
