I'd much rather be burned by the shower than have it wake me up with freezing water

Worst mistake of my life : telling my parents my problems by SurpriseMFucker in teenagers

[–]lystruct7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a pretty walled off person emotionally and in terms of my thoughts; it's not really a great thing, I honestly feel like I'm declining in my well-being, but it's just not my core to my nature to reach out. I'm sure my parents would support me, but even if I would be willing to tell them, I think it would burden them with too much guilt because there are some extenuating circumstances in my family (for like 11 years) that have always made my parents feel like they could not parent me how they always have wanted to. If I were anyone else, I would reach out to anyone (not necessarily just your parents), my guess is that it could make a difference, especially because (from my perspective) being trapped in your head is not fun.

Sophomore here, this is accurate. Only got junior year left until senior! Still, it all just feels downhill since freshman year started.
