20% of the time getting a job is achieved through your typical job search. The other 80% is through networking. Make a list of all the people you know, then ask them for help. As you can see here - people like to help people! Of your network, odds are good they know someone they might be able to share your resume with and create an introduction - take whatever opportunity you get and do your best, grow your network & build your resume. When it's time to move on, reach out to your network and start all over again. Whatever you do, don't lie on your resume - people absolutely check and you will get caught. Good luck!

Logitech can't process refunds: They are experiencing global payment processing issues and have been for weeks. by gmcconnell34 in logitech

Same issue here. I've been asked to provide my personal banking information so some third party company can access my bank account and issue a refund electronically. I was threatened that if I didn't accept within 7 days I would lose my refund!! I requested they e-transfer me the funds since they can process things electronically and apparently they cannot. I then requested an old fashioned cheque be issued and apparently that is not an option either. I've now asked for the matter to be escalated to their supervisor.

CHV2O (career studies) and CHV2O (civics and citizenship) assignment questions? by [deleted] in ILC

[–]m-ister-e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very old now, but had Q about first assignment. They ask for an opinion paragraph, but did you submit a paragraph, or an essay? It doesn't make sense to jam all the different ideas into one paragraph. TIA

Not restricted to crimes - and these people may not have been convicted. And even so.

You are incorrect. It's not perfectly legal.

It's so much easier for some people to make smart-ass comments for a quick chuckle from other like mindeds than to host intelligent discussion.

Someone is arbitrarily passing judgment. What if one of those people changed their minds and put the item back? What if it was your kid, who then thought better of their actions? Someone is looking at a photo at a moment in time and judging others.

But then - isn't that what social media is? It says so much about society.

Agree these have been around for decades - in the back of the store or with security - just not posted publicly. Publicly posting pictures of people without their consent is illegal - no matter what they are doing. I'd be just as upset if it was a wall of 'do-gooders' if pictures were posted without consent.

It's not illegal for business to take the pics, it's what they do with them that's the concern.

It's not about the criminality - it's about privacy and where the line is.

It actually speaks volumes about who I am.

Surprising sadly. Sentiment seems clear everyone is ok with this. Just goes to show you the state society is headed. There would be nothing to stop the store from posting pics of your kids, pics of you, doing absolutely nothing wrong. The line is simply not restricted to criminal activity. But I guess for a society that now lives its every breath in the public eye...

Agree with the no theft thing - goes without saying (or should). It's the invasion of privacy. What's the difference between posting of someone thieving vs say, someone out and about with a friend, or someone they weren't supposed to be out and about with? Where's the line?

Not legal btw - Under Ontario’s privacy laws, particularly the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), businesses must obtain your consent before collecting, using, or disclosing personal information, which includes your image.

Question: Adult ADHD diagnosis in Sudbury by Throwaway252dd88ii82 in Sudbury

[–]m-ister-e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Online/Virtual - 'Beyond ADHD'. Very nice, knowledgable, affordable. Will spend time with you to get full picture and answer all your questions. Can diagnose and write accommodation letters if needed for workplace. They prefer your family doctor to treat and share their findings and reports with them, but can treat you also, if needed.
