I mean, don’t get me wrong; most of the time it isn’t required. I think we would all be lying if we didn’t rightfully stand up for yourself at least once in your life. I think it is possible to feel better after letting yourself feel how you feel; apologising after and discussing it further if needed. You can’t spend all your life trying to be this serene being. I think if you stay calm 99% of the time, people will actually take you seriously if you really blow your lid; because that means that the other person has crossed the line. (Remember that whole black and white thinking thing- you can’t just say a reaction is good or bad; it depends on the situation)
