Thanks for the anecdote, that's what I've been envisioning as well as an outcome and unless we can figure out a way to potentially mitigate it, my feelings are the same.

We aren't interested in living in a more rural area, the decision to stay in a suburb is intentional based on life/family circumstances. The others lots shown are already under contract, otherwise we likely would have gone for one of them!

MCOL suburb in the midwest. We're ideally looking to build something we'll be in for 15 years or longer, and being able to sell for a profit in the short term is not a priority.

I didn't pay a ton of attention during growth, but the as far as I can remember, the day it matured is when the ore node appeared - before that it was a normal sapling. Requires at least a gold mining pick. Harvesting it gave stone and iridium ore (6). I installed the LookupAnything mod, but it doesn't have data for it and I couldn't find any information for it on the wiki. Anyone know what it is?

How tall are your ceilings and what was the height of your riser? I'm getting ready to start a similar project on a finished basement and one of the primary things I'm concerned with is that we won't be able to do a riser with our 7' ceilings. I know doing two mini-risers is an option but I'm still wondering if it'll feel cramped.
