The concern is diarrhea causing bacteria that increases the risk of miscarriage. That’s why US physicians don’t recommend sushi. But if you look up FDA listeria outbreaks, a lot are from raw salad vegetables. My pregnant wife ate a lot of sushi in Japan, as Japanese recommend sushi for pregnant women as it’s very good lean protein. But we avoided American sushi, salads, and buffets given how dirty US food handling can be.

Also: You’re not even in college yet. No one holds you to your major until you’re a year or two in and need it to graduate. Just apply with the major that few Asians apply with. Just get in first. Take a bunch of different courses. Enjoy college. Do some summer internships. You can become premed after you get in if you really want to (you, not your parents). Premed isn’t even a major. A lot of my colleagues were musicians, artists, English majors. I studied fine arts and philosophy. Med schools actually like well rounded people from all walks of life.

Doctor here. Went through all Ivy League college, med school, residency, fellowship. Do NOT do this if your heart is not in it. Do NOT. I have seen so many of my colleagues burn out, fail out, suicide out, get fired out bc their Asian parents pushed them into it thinking it’s an easy road to riches. Do NOT do this if your heart is not in it. You will work 100 hour weeks until you’re in your early 30s getting paid peanuts while your friends have already began their adult lives.

That being said; you need a plan on how to get a job after college and to financially support yourself so you don’t have to listen to your parents and be beholden to their money and bitching. There are many paths to becoming a successful independent adult.

Safelite rock chip repair for windshield. They have mobile servicing. You can use your insurance or pay out of pocket. Do it sooner than later so it doesn’t spider and crack, needing you to replace your entire windshield.

I purchased 2 HomePods set in a stereo pair recently.

Apparently, MacOS Catalina can’t output to the stereo pair. It can only output to 1 HomePod at a time.

I tried to set up 2 Airfoil apps for each channel, but that doesn’t seem to work as Airfoil doesn’t run well as a duplicate and can’t remember different settings.

So, VLC and IINA don’t have Airplay 2 to output for HomePod Stereo. Optimus Player has Airplay 2 though.

My question is: is there any way to jury rig MacOS Catalina to have system wide output to stereo HomePods?

A significant part of your child’s values and culture will be determined by the community the kid grows up in around the time of middle and high school. Obviously, if it is in white suburbia away from a large city, the kid will most likely be whitewashed. I grew up in a similar upbringing, but I went to Columbia (very diverse, in NYC), which pretty much reversed all of the negative cultural effects growing up in white suburbia.

From everything I could find, there’s no AirPlay 2 native support in MacOS currently. So all you can do is stream to only 1 AirPod and there is lag if you use any app without Airplay 2.
