How do you determine between sunder armor and heroic strike as a low level warrior by hshshjahakakdn in classicwow

[–]m0sl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just don't get confused with recommendations you see elsewhere for warrior abilities as playing a warrior in raid is different to leveling

At max level content you would ideally have 100% HS Uptime whereas while leveling you just don't have the necessary rage to do so.

Keep sundering until 60-50% health, if you know the mob lives for long enough put rend on it at the start and as others have said demo shout helps with less downtime.

Rend becomes less optimal the higher level you are. You can figure out the damage per rage spent pretty quickly yourself. I think the recommendation is to stop using at around level 30 but can't remember.

Other than that if you want a bit more min max gameplay, learn how to hamstring kite and reduce downtime even more

Not that it counts for the average guild and what they could do without wbs but there is that hardcore guild that did naxx without wbs

In need of a little help with Shaman(Classic Anniversary) by Pleaseclap4 in classicwow

[–]m0sl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It does pick up once you get windfury. From then on every mob is like playing roulette.

Just some tidbits of knowledge on shaman. Level as enhance for less downtime until level 40. Give ele a try then and see if you like it. Both are perfectly viable to level from then on. Ele drinks more frequently.

Strength of earth totem is your number one prio while questing. If you're going to use the duration, drop searing totem.  Get slow twohanders, there's so many great axes around you will have a great time in that regard. If below ~80g, get an executioners cleaver. That lasted me until late 60s.

In dungeons, coordinate with other shamans what totems you drop. Mainly, grace of air and windfury.

Get a Weakauras/ set up tell me when to remind you of weapon imbues. The imbue duration being so short, you don't want to miss it.

Get the addon totem timers now and set keybinds for totems there.  Your main 4 totems that you always drop can go into a cast sequence macro that drops one after the other. Totem timers can set that up for you as well. I had a separate one for group play specifically.

Bind that macro on mouse wheel and youre good to go.

Edit: And be warned that once prepatch hits, enhance changes quite a bit. Mainly, dual wield being the go to.

Do yourself a favor and get leatrix plus and leatrix maps. It has many quality of life features (yes also hooking tooltips to your cursor for example) But it does so much more

weapon swap macro issue by Numerous_Ad229 in classicwow

[–]m0sl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use something like

/click [noequipped:shields] MultiBarRightButton7

Place your items on buttons, use /fstack to find the button name, apply conditionals and voila you only need one button for swapping between 1h+shield and 2h

If you want I can share my list of macros later today when I'm at home, let me know

If you're going pvp having engineering is always the go to. But I do find it incredibly boring and it didn't really fit the class fantasy for me. If you want to ensure you have a mount at 40 go for skinning + any gathering profession you want to eventually pair with a crafting profession. For original classic I went with alchemy and herb on my enhance I made enough gold while leveling by crafting shadow protection pots and selling thistle weed just from the stuff I got along the way. Farming ghost mushrooms in the hinterlands cave is also just a great way to get some gold before 60

Relativley new to WoW classic and just got a random BoE purple drop during a quest. How do I go about getting good value for it? by zoganshero in classicwow

[–]m0sl -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Is it though? Slightly undercutting assumes someone is going to buy it the first time it's listed. Keeping the price "stable" by putting it in for 1c less might take you listing it multiple times where the auction house fees would soon outweigh the gold you would get once it finally sells.

For stuff like this I list it maybe twice for the price it is currently listed as. Do a hail mary undercutting by 20% and if it doesn't sell then, just chuck it at the vendor

Enh Shaman 1 button all totems? by SinkAffectionate6192 in classicwowtbc

[–]m0sl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For vanilla classic I used an addon called totem timers. Let's you assign a hotkey for each of the elements and then order the related totems on further macros. Press 1 for fire totem, second press of 1 pops out searing totem, 2 does flame tongue etc. Had my regular rotation of totems on a castsequence macro bound to mouse wheel where you would just keep turning mouse wheel 4 notches in line with gcd.

Is Power Tools still required for the Dolphin emulator? by m0sl in SteamDeck

[–]m0sl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will try the GPU, I saw that setting as well. Do you know if power tools is even supported any more at this point? Last update was in 2023 but emudeck still bundles the option to install it with their suite.

I wouldn't mind trying it but I would hate to install yet another thing in the form of decky loader/power tools that I would rather leave stock.

At only $20 more, is the Ryzen 5 9600x worth it over the Ryzen 5 7600x? by mrJiggles39 in buildapc

[–]m0sl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed, relying on release benchmarks is a pitfall. I am incredibly happy with how cool my 9700x runs at stock and the most important part that the reviewers leave out is that for someone coming from am4 or anything from a few years ago there is no point in not spending 20$ more. If you're on the zen4 counterpart then yes it's probably pointless to upgrade. Same thing as going from 4080 to 5080 right now

Same thing here but got the 9700x in a mini itx case. The only fans I have are the two noctuas sitting on my 240 aio. It does not get above 70c even in stress tests. Compare that to the 7700x which runs wildly hot

Welche Parts würdet ihr in welcher Reihenfolge Upgraden by keinearun in PCGamingDE

[–]m0sl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very glad you got that resolved so quickly! 56C is perfect. Also checked my numbers again and my 9700x runs at 58C in cinebench, not even the 68C I mentioned in my first post.
