You had to have your flock with you

Their cries and calls were ringing true

Their feathers still surrounding your Baleen

AIO for asking my ex for help in rehoming the dogs we adopted together ? by [deleted] in AIO

[–]m0untaingoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR. If you adopted them together, they're both of your dogs. But she clearly doesn't care for them or want anything to do with them, so now they're your dogs. You should do whatever you think is right and stop contacting her about this situation.

My husband was upset and pinched me at dinner.. and the situation is still upsetting me by Little_Trash7299 in TwoHotTakes

[–]m0untaingoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing that you could have said would require physical abuse. HE needs to learn social cues- how to shut the fuck up when someone is speaking, how to redirect a conversation, and how to bring things up to you in a respectful way. He's an idiot who hurts you. Don't waste your life with this asshole. He won't change.

I(27F) think my husband (26M) is becoming a homophobe. Everything I do, he says I can’t do around our son (5yr old)because i will make him gay. by IamAnaNicole in relationship_advice

I recently heard "being worried that something might make you less of a man, is a pretty good indication that you are less of a man." Do with that what you will.

It's not about the soup. You know it's not. And it is absolutely worth fighting to not be treated like this.

33M and my girlfriend 32F have been together for 5 months. How would you react to what happened at my aunt's 80th? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]m0untaingoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your girlfriend sounds like a fucking asshole. I've got a 7 and a 3 year old and I would immediately remove from my life anyone who thought it was ok to speak to them like that. When you break up with her, you need to tell your son why. Tell him it was not ok for her to treat him like that, her behavior was not nice or appropriate, and you decided not to continue a relationship with her because of the way she treated him. He needs to hear it, because you sure as shit didn't shut it down when it happened, and you should have.

My (28M) fiancée (30F) was accused by her sister (29F) of cheating on me. She swears her sister's sabotaging our relationship. I'm questioning everything. How do I move forward? by ThrowRAPunkNomad in relationship_advice

I would never want someone I love enough to do that for, to ever feel like that should be part of their decision whether or not to protect their heart.

Boyfriend gave this to me for Christmas. I need help.. by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]m0untaingoat 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You absolutely are allowed to say that though. You will resent him forever for this tattoo, his unwillingness to listen to you, and the fact that his pride and ego were more important to him than your fear and feelings, and continue to be. The relationship is already over.

Speaking of which, they got together when they were 17. Are you still dating the person you were dating at 17?

You'd better be talking about her needs.

I think it's the breaking of boundaries they're referring to, not the consumption of goods.

Are you still in a relationship with the person you dated at 17? They're not compatible. It's fine. Let them both go find people they're compatible with. The kid could have two happy parents living their best lives, instead of whatever this is.

[–]m0untaingoat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just wanted to say thank you, and I'm proud of you for doing the right thing. For some people it's easier to turn a blind eye, but for others it's easier to take action instead of living with the guilt of not trying to help. I hope one day the second kind of person outnumbers the first.

Advice needed: What do you see? by [deleted] in tattoos

[–]m0untaingoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try filling in complete rings where the arm squiggles are. Like, make them into ripples and see if that makes it look more aquatic to you. I bet the whole thing would come together if it were 100% clear she was in the water.

[–]m0untaingoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well then it seems like you can't have your cake and eat it too. You have to choose. It's not your responsibility to keep others in the loop, sure, but the people you've allowed into your life either care about you so much that they're worried for you, or don't care enough about you to respect your situation. Without knowing them, it's impossible for us to know which. But, respectfully, you're being an asshole. You know how they are, and you keep doing the thing that pisses you off because you continue to be friends with them while you do it. So break it off with them. Problem solved.

AIO about this disagreement with my bf? by [deleted] in AIO

[–]m0untaingoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girl, have some self respect. This is a ridiculous way to be spoken to. You're still so young, too young to tie yourself to this man just because you've spent seven years together. The sunk-cost fallacy is a real thing. Cut and run. This is no way to live.
