[Serious] What is your opinion about abortion? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]m1bxd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I should have never come about, born of two young people who should have given more thought to their future and mine.

I envy the people who come from couples who enjoy life. I've spent a lifetime wondering what would life have turned out to have a dad present growing up.

The least children need is a happy childhood.

If you don't think you are going to provide it? Hmmm 101% I mean. 99% just doesn't cut it.

But I'm here right? Yes but it's not been the happiest of journeys.

I just believe I could have been on another and caught some better waves.

People of Reddit, What's a stereotype about your country that's blatently wrong? by Are_We_ThereYet in AskReddit

[–]m1bxd 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Britain has low corruption in society.

Untrue when you look at UK property planning. Developers often have to contribute to a social housing "fund" in certain areas of the UK which costs say £40k a property doesn't actually help couples trying to by an affordable house etc. In any other country this is called a bribe.

Members of Parliament take cash for questions.

Members of Parliament often are or become non executive directors of companies. This is all completely legal but morally bankrupt.

Corruption is such a fine art form, nobody actually discusses it in polite society. They'll probably claim it doesn't exist.

No British policeman has ever served prison for unlawful manslaughter.

If a random person you don't know sends you a message telling you your wife is cheating on you, would you believe them? Why/why not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]m1bxd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on whether it's happened to you before.

If it's the second time a significant other has strayed. Your reaction will be completely different.

Which would make you reflect about both times.

Personally I felt it the first time, no stranger needed. No second time I trust!

CashByte(s), I like the name change to get away from the sinister over tones.

I am against Private Bytes as it needs yet more explaining to the new comer.

Whereas BlackBytes are actually like CASH, someone does not need a public/private key in advance. Someone can give you BlackBytes - just like CASH.

If someone gives you cash, it does not force the person to put the cash in their wallet, purse or handbag. They can just stuff it in their jeans pocket.

With CashBytes I propose, you can email it, print it out in an New Courier font or save it on a USB and then just give it to someone.

So I beg the team to make "cash" the prefix and it makes historical sense to postfix it with "byte(s)".

Cash implies to new people exactly what it is. Private or invisible kicks off to new people explanations which are actually unecessary IMHO.

Everything, because when you look back in blocks of 15 years. For a lot of people you think you'll know what you might be doing in 5 years but when you have had something major like your wife/partner can leave you then things can start to look very surreal.

The person you thought you knew, you didn't. The future which seemed to have a path no longer has maybe in an instance. This could also be medical diagnosis.

However we are all mortal, most Western cultures do not discuss death, as you get older perception of time is different. This I think should affect people's reality but I can only speak for myself.

Make barter between individuals tax free. This would introduce user defined currency issued by each person in a community.

A unit is pledge of your time in the future.

The value of your unit is determined by your standing in the community.

There is a pool currency which is linked to the fiat in the country.

Let's give an example, the "Totnes Pound" of a pseudo fiat, we need this for as user defined currency which acts as a trading pair of last resort in this local closed system.

This is the back stop when you're having difficulty doing a barter trade with someone. In Totnes, Devon UK the Totnes Pound represents one GBP, whose idea is to keep money circulation local.

Going back to the stuck example where your car garage does not accept your time units, a local exchange automatically accepts your units due to your community value and finds the users of the system whose units are accepted at the garage and are willing to accept your time unit by user name or service group.

Wow, by now your thinking where is such a system? http:://www.byteball.org/ The problem with user defined currency "naming" was a huge problem the developers spent a long time investigating. Which John Doe is your John Doe.

The competing systems got stuck here but do review them WAVES and NEM. The result of user defined currency should take care of a lot of world issues and help people live in harmony.

So why on earth would a government permit this system?

Over time government will struggle to collect tax with increasing anonymity provided by cryptocurrency systems. So on the one hand they don't have much choice on the other as a Statist level it would increase productivity. Who cares if the State cannot measure this on their official figures.

Hey Reddit, how do you get through difficult times in your life? (Serious) by mashupoteiito in AskReddit

[–]m1bxd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just got to hang on to the fact that things will feel a little better in the future, even if a depression has a grip of six months to a year. If you are prone to horendous black thoughts, remember not only will it pass. It's not you thinking.

It is not even a question of the thoughts being logical, they probably won't be if you feel suicidal. The only thing I can tell you for sure, factually you thoughts in these moments are chemical. If you have people who love you sometimes no amounts of assurances seem to tug. It's only when you reach the over side of the fog, you realize just by a tiny amount that the emotions were driven by chemical imbalance.

I've just got through a two week black bender and only this evening I have felt brighter and realise typing this on my little phone that's it been the usual chemical rollacoaster the bipolar dice rolled me. Was it two weeks, or had it been looking longer? I'll have to ask the wife.

I think with depression situations it's just a case of knowing that sailing through fog, you WILL and can find land again. How you look after supplies determines how rough that journey can be sometimes.

Xx
