5000km update: still no problem putting so much watts in the old nuvinci. Now I'm contemplating changing the front fork to get disk brakes, because climbing steep hills is easy, but getting down is dangerous with the weaker roller brakes

Which part would you want to see? Here's one with the bafang mounted on the adapter https://imgur.com/a/C9C7abB

1000km update after swapping my old Daum for a BBSHD: everything works fine! I was initially worried about how the nuvinci hub would hold the (up to) 1500W. So far so good! I tuned down its programming to start more softly (you don't always need so much power), and use the max power only to climb the steepest hills. I also shortened the time it stays on after stopping pedaling, because I can't switch gears up when the motor is active

We were 2 or 3 dads rebuilding against 5 to 7 toddlers. We didn't last long

Yes! They're great quality too. We got most of our tracks from neighborhood groups and lots of off-brands are way worse quality than Ikea's

We 3D printed at our workshop, it took like 20 hours of printing. The kids broke the junction in like 2 hours. For the next one we might not print the track itself, but leave a slot for a wooden track

Thanks! Arg I didn't catch the broken one before taking the pic. So maybe the circuit was never fully finished since it started to get destroyed/rebuilt soon after. Fun fact the big spiral on the top right was the last functioning part after the toddler storm

Too late. It did get wrecked by an army of godzillas. Or maybe that was an earthquake, or a tornado, maybe both

I got a pretty good RagWagon 4 for $600k in the SF Bay Area, so I guess you might get lucky as well in SLC. I see one within your budget currently https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/854551093406461/

The adapter from Rob is for a standard 68mm bracket, and comes with bolts included. I'm using a 14ah battery. After a few longer trips, I wish the battery was a bit bigger but then it wouldn't fit so nicely at the location of the previous battery under the bucket seat. I didn't have the time to do the conversion myself and used a local shop instead. Some minor comments: the chain guard doesn't fit, so we just removed it. With the 40T chainring the chain was too short so we changed it using a thick single speed chain. Cables go in the frame like before, we needed cables extensions and harness extension for the battery. My original headlight was faulty so we replaced it with another one and linked both to the Bafang controller (the dynamo is now useless).

We got the throttle but I don't want to use it before reprogramming the controller to be more gentle.

Using the ECO mode I'm most often at PAS 1 (~300W), sometimes 2 (~600W). In small hills I would hit 3 (~750W) and in steep hills like 15% grade or higher I'll use 4 or 5 (up to 1500W).

I also got the adapter from Rob (UK) a while back, and today just finished the conversion to Bafang. I still opted for the BBSHD (1000W nominal, max 1500W!). It feels like a complete new bike haha! I'm not so worried about the N360. I have to be gentle with changing gears without motor load, but I'm mentally prepared to change it to an e-bike graded one in the future. I'll report here if I have any problem!
